Curry Roots

This place is wonderful! I’m surprised how good and tasty the food is considering it’s in the mall. Curries aren’t watered down and they have a good selection of meat and non-meat options. I also appreciate the real spices in the food; I bit down on a small piece of ginger that gave me a delightful zing. If you love Indian food, you’ll love this place.

I eat here at least twice per month. I love all the chicken curries. The Chicken Korma and the Mango Chicken are probably my favorites, but they’re honestly all great.. As someone that has eaten at many different Indian restaurants, I can tell you the prices are very reasonable. Whether you get the curry with the basmati rice or the nan, you can’t go wrong. I’m also a big fan of the mango lassi.

This place made me love Indian food. I never had it as a kid so when I came to the mall one day I tried the coconut chicken curry and was sold. I love that I can sample anything which makes it easier to commit to a new dish without the awful feeling of not liking it. The next dish I want to try is there pizza.

My first time trying Indian food was at curry roots. The food was delicious, especially the samosas.Only one halal meat choice but it's better to have one than none. The owner is such a nice guy. Always offering you to try something. I've even talked to him outside and he is just the friendliest guy you'll meet. I use to work at restaurant Depot and he'd always see me and stop to say hello. Outstanding customer service and an outstanding establishment.

This is such a nice spot to get some real good Indian food while shopping in the mall. They are super organized, clean and creative with the menu. The combo options are great. Very good value! The pizza menu is very unique, has a neat Indian touch to it. I liked the bhel Puri here. Just like the streets of Delhi. Good staff too. Chai is very well made.

I have had a lot of Indian food around San Jose, which i love! And for a place in a mall, i was expecting sub par food like the rest of the restaurants. But i was so wrong! The coconut curry was spicy and savory, so flavorful i couldn’t stop eating! The staff is very friendly. I would have gladly payed double, which i have, for that quality!

My dad & I eat here when we go to the movies at the Oakridge mall. Love this place! My dad does as well, which is not often the case, so it says a lot. I’m vegetarian & love the butter paneer. Their quality is quite consistently good & the food is fresh. The staff is so patient with my hard of hearing impatient father (sorry Dad). Definitely a great place, especially considering we are eating at the mall.

I work in the mall and frequently dine at Curry Roots. The food is always consistently good and fresh, the employees are friendly and helpful. They kindly mark their menu items as vegan, spicy, and dairy. They serve pizza as well, with flavors like mango chicken and Tikka. They are always giving samples of their homemade drinks and any item on the bar. They have family sized orders to take home. I have included a picture of a bowl sized portion of Spinach Potatoes with Naan and chai. I hope the next time you are in the mall, you will try Curry Roots. I think they deserve more traffic than they currently receive.
