Myungrang Hot Dog

Calibrating expectations for a corn dog shop in a grocery store, it's pretty good. However I am confused about the branding. On Google Maps it says it's called Bazak Bazak (and I've previously been here when it was Bazak) though as of Oct 2023 there is new branding. The place is called Gugu Pocha though aside from the signage, it looks, operates and tastes the same. I found some mention of the word "Bazak" though that could be a Korean term I'm not familiar with.

Flavors are good with a lot of space to dine in. Expect a lot of dairy products here. I ordered the Squid-ink Dog and personally wasn't blown away. It's still good though. It has cheese on the top end and sausage on the bottom. The hot dog is shaped like a squid at the end. Overall a decent spot to snack with lots of space to dine in.

What better thing to do while grocery shopping but to stop by for a quick snack?? This place is conveniently located in the hmart food court with lots of seating! There’s a variety of hot dogs to choose from but my favorite is the potato one. I love the ones with cheese but it’s strange that half the hot dog was sausage and the other half was cheese.. I was expecting the sausage to be covered with cheese throughout the entire hot dog.. The batter was interesting since it was not corn but made with rice. It was almost mochi like which was very interesting! They have a variety of sauces to choose from to spice up the flavor of your hot dog and you also have the option to coat your hot dog in sugar. In addition they also sell ddukbboki which was pretty decent!

Go check it out! Located inside H-Mart all the way to the left (next to BBQ Town). A popular street food item in Korea. Basically cheese or hot dog wrapped with a crispy and sugary donut on the outside (sugar on it if wanted...say yes to the sugar!). I believe the donut is made with rice flour. My friend didn't like the $1.99 hot dog, but the premium hot dog is 100% beef and delicious and is $3.99. I tried the mozzarella one which was yummy and fun. Right now they are having a soft opening till this Sunday 4/21/19. They open from 11am to 2pm and then again at 5pm to 8pm. Times can vary. Today they closed at 1pm instead of 2pm. Check out my pictures on what sauce combos they suggest and what they offer. Also available were lemonade and shikhe (a sweet rice drink). Currently ddukbokki is not available.
