The Don's Deli

This is 5 stars for their An Apple A Day sandwich with turkey added. Delicious!!! The brie just melts in your mouth, with the sweet crunch of apple slices, the tangy punch of Dijon mustard, the Thanksgiving-reminder of cranberry and turkey, and the slight bitter peppery arugula = HEAVEN. I've tried some other cold sandwiches of which Curry Chicken was a good contender for return visits. Their hot sandwiches are mostly misses for me but maybe they're just not my kind of thing. Honestly, I've never been a fan of sandwiches so this is a huge surprise for me aka a big compliment to the quality of The Don's Deli (mainly for the An Apple A Day sandwich).

My absolute favorite sandwich shop. Great tasting options, varied and original, fresh ingredients, and some of the best cookies I've ever had. You can even order any sandwich as a salad and they are all great. Fair prices for what you get and nice place to eat but quick if it's to go. Not very many vegetarian and vegan options but the ones they have are great. They even have a Coke machine with all the flavors here. Definitely recommended.

Don's is a great spot for a solid lunch. I typically stick to the hot sandwich menu, and haven't been let down yet. Friday's -Sunday's, they serve Tri-TIp sandwiches, which are a staff favorite. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is that at busy times, it can be a little bit of a a wait. All around, great staff, fun vibe, and above all...GREAT sandwiches. If you are driving south out of the bay, this might be the pit stop for you. Starbucks is right next store as well.
