The sushi rolls were fresh and amazing! The owner served out table and he was attentive, never had a glad empty and I love sauces(spicy mayo and unagi) and before I'd run out he'd refill it for me! The rolls range from $7-13, and they are generous portions.

The owner is always very polite and friendly. I come here at least once a week for lunch, and the prices are good for the food quality.
It's a quiet place to have lunch, and is clean and welcoming. The owner often sits behind the counter and reads when there's no customers, so don't be put off if you walk in and see nobody at first--he'll be with you in seconds.

Great mom and pop sushi outfit. Good selection of reasonably priced rolls that are well prepared. I am a sucker for a good crunch roll and this one comes piled high.

Super friendly owner/server. I think they do mostly take-outs as the restaurant is small.
Our chicken teriyaki and teriyaki salmon bento boxes came with choice of fried, potato croquettes. They were delish.

Really bad service I mean he harrasd me he said too long cut hair ? I mean do you own a hair salon also. Other wise food was ok but on the phone he refused to take my order and hung up. So I went to the store to order and I said I was the one who called 5 times he didn't even say sorry I mean rude . Buy the way I ordered the terryaki chicken and it came with no sause. I recommend not to go there. Oh forgot to add he said too dark stay out the sun. racist

Stick with the basic rolls. Super tasty and proper rice to fish ratio. The fancy rolls were good too...but had sauce. I was after the fish and rice. Tempura was tasty...altho udon was plain. For udon go to nijiya in mt view.

This place looked really empty and a bit dodgy, but the owner was reality friendly, the service was quick, he made everything fresh, and the food was great. We had the oh yes roll and salmon teriyaki dinner with extra miso soup and there was plenty of food for two.

Small place, kind of bland but I come here for the sushi. Always friendly chef and server. Huge rolls, fresh and tasty and the best prices in San Mateo and Burlingame. Come for the food, not the decor.
