Pizza Mizza

I have long believed that this is one of the best pizza placed on the planet, and still do. Tonight I am only giving it four stars because the salad I ordered was really not good. I love roasted beet salad, but this one, somebody forgot to cook the beets!. This review is more for the restaurant because I know you can do so much better.

Pizza and salad options a great. Go during happy hour (2:30 - 4:00) or late night (8:00pm) for savings. Patio seating is always popular as the indoor seating area can sometimes feel a bit stuffy. Edit: I had to downgrade by 1 star due to fact that they always take 15-20 minutes just to make an order of french fries to go, even during slow periods. We order fries to go once in a while, most recently on 11/27/15, and took over 10 minutes just to realize they hadn't started the order. I could hear the kitchen staff talking about it. After almost 20 minutes our fries where finally ready. Keep on mind there were maybe 4 customers eating there at that time.

We were enthusiastic patrons of Pizza Mizza for many years, and introduced many friends to it, until repeatedly receiving take-out pizza with soggy crust, literally running with oil, and skimpy toppings. We kept hoping they'd get a handle on this, but finally gave up. Would have liked to try their gluten-free pizza, but the price was prohibitive. Now we've gone off gluten entirely, & when craving pizza, we make our own much more simply & quickly than we expected.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant after a LONG day of traveling and exploring the city. We came from Nebraska for a work convention and found this restaurant in our searches for places to eat. Let's just say we expected A LOT more out of this restaurant. Where do I begin, when we arrived we were seated and the wait staff was very short with us, they barely spoke to us or anything but spoke to other tables around us quite a bit. When it came to order we got a garlic bread appetizer to start and the bread was HARD, and when I say that, I mean it was pound on the table and barely break hard! We ordered starter salads, one Caesar and one garden and the girl waiting on us didn't seem to know what two SIDE salads meant, she asked if we meant regular sized salads. When we finally received our salads the garden salad was bitter and the lettuce was WARM! We let those go to the side because we thought, surely the pizza would be good... NOPE WRONG THERE AS WELL!!! We ordered the Chicken and roasted red pepper with Goat Cheese Pizza, sounds yummy right! Well is was a MAJOR disappointment! We waited 20 minutes just for the pizza to come out and when it did come out... IT WAS THE WRONG PIZZA! The gave us an Italian Sausage with sun dried tomato pizza... We sent that back and it took probably 30 minutes for the CORRECT pizza to finally make it to our table. When we did finally get it the slices were not cut proportionally, there was grease DRIPPING off of it, and the chicken tasted old.... Needless to say we were NOT impressed and DO NOT recommend anyone go to this restaurant... Oh and I forgot to mention we had finished our water glasses and I counted the wait staff walk past us 6 times and we waiting about 8 minutes before we decided to ask for them to fill our glasses... And this happened on more than one occasion. Let's just say if I am ever back in Santa Barbara I WILL NOT be eating at this restaurant again!
