Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market has the highest quality food items available! It is an Epicurian delight! Also: Shoppers tend to be friendly and loquacious. I always have someone speak to me as I peruse the delightful, and healthy items available. Whole Foods Market could have more sale items, but highly recommend visiting and shopping.

DO NOT EAT FROM THE PREPAIRED FOOD/SALAD BAR AT THE SANTA BARBARA WHOLE FOODS. It is DANGEROUS. I REPEAT, do not ever EVER eat from there again. For the third time I witnessed the unthinkable. As I was putting salad in my container I watched the lady (who is in charge of keeping the food trays full.) fill 8 or 9 salad dressing bottles. Literally hundreds of people (if not thousands because im sure they never get wiped off.) have handled these plastic dressing bottles. After doing so she picked up a couple of plastic containers took the lids off and proceeded to scoop food out and into the pans at the buffet using her "hands" as a spatula while wearing the same gloves that she's most likely had on since 9 in the morning. I have seen this lady do the exact same thing two times in the last 4 months. Both times I put my container of food down and left the store, went home and called the manager and explain the exactly the situation. Obviously absolutely nothing was done about it and it is one of the most disgusting, dangerous and deadl things I've ever witnessed. Whole foods is "knowingly directly responsible for spreading COVID and all types of diseases at an alarming rate! Think about how many people use that salad bar. Having this happen one time is Criminal. But after complaining 3 * the place ought to be shut down. Bristol Farms has an incredible prepared food section.

The worst and rudest customer service hands down. I drove from across town to get a fresh juice, as I walked up to the juice counter the employee tells me we cant serve you right now comeback in 20 minutes. 20 minutes? Who does that? The people making juices there act so entitled and basically prefer not to help their customers or act like it's the biggest chore to even make you a juice. I left the place and all my groceries I gathered up. Before that a rude female employee yelled at me to get out of the way as I was looking at some products. I've been a loyal customer of whole foods for over 20 years. I will never walk into another Whole Foods again. GMO Organic fruits and veggies is a whole different issue as well. Santa Barbara Whole Foods is the worst of them all though.

Overall I still like going there for groceries but I have to say that the hot food at this location has really gone downhill. It's something that I used to really like, but after a lot of times of the food just looking really dried out or being completely gone or limited in selection, I've given up on that aspect of this store.

If you buy the meat department’s broccoli cheddar stuffed chicken on or around 12/27/21 you may unknowingly be getting ham in your chicken. They mixed the chicken breasts up in the case - they did not grab mine from the wrong side. I tried to tell their customer service about it but they transferred me to the meat department who obviously never picked up because I got kicked back onto the automated line. I don’t really eat ham for personal reasons so it’s not the worst thing for me but I’m sure some people who don’t eat ham for religious reasons are going to end up eating ham. Anyway, this isn’t the best Whole Foods ever but probably not the worse. Hopefully one day they can move to a different building somewhere that is laid out better. The aisles are weird but the worst thing is the layout for the checkout lines, it’s REALLY bad. Oh and the bathrooms are kinda gross, plus someone installed at least one of the toilet paper dispensers in the women’s restroom inhumanly low.

The best quality grocery store I have been to. Organic section is amazing. The compromise is that prices go to the roof. After whole foods were purchased by Amazon, you may be able to use your Amazon prime account for some discount. yellow and blue labels give you 10% and ~40% off. But you have to install the whole foods app on your cellphone.
