Great place for grilled dishes. Staff are so friendly and attentive despite a busy Tuesday night. I never once had to ask them to refill my tea, so I do appreciate this kind of customer service. The bento tray has nice selection and very reasonable prices as well. The white tuna we had was so fresh and delicious.

Been coming here 12+ years and Sumiya is still the GOAT for me. Going there makes me feel like I'm back in Japan. Irasshaimase! Loved: Duck w/green onion Butabara (always!!) Kalbi beef (I think I like just salt best) Scallops (so fresh) Salmon over radish Miss: I miss the salads. There used to be a great seaweed salad . I was looking for more in terms of stand alone veggies to balance all the meat. The server did tell us that they needed to cut menu items that required a lot of prep, like the salads, due to the pandemic. Service was also friendly and attentive. Arigato gozaimasu.

Short version is the food was great and definitely recommend! Long version: We ordered and paid on our phone and the food came out super quick. We had salmon tataki, udon, beef intestines and a bento box. It was more than enough for 2 people. Everything was great. The only thing I wouldn't recommend was beef intestines. I generally enjoy intestines not that I don't like them. The intestines here tasted good but were too chewy and chunky.

The experience is not worth to the high price. The chicken skin was clearly overcooked. The blue hair server is EXTREMELY COLD. While we are waiting for our table, she continued force us to get out. Even when our table is prepared, she still want us to be out without any explanation. The food is bad but their service is even WORSE!!!!
