House Of Egg Roll

Not worth it. Hot bar with pans that you could tell were never full. Which tells me they don't have enough customers to warrant filling the pans. And I believe they don't have customers because the food is not good. I got the sweet and sour pork. Small over cooked piece of meat that were tough and chewy. I also got what they called lemon chicken. No sauce to speak of as well as no taste. I didn't take any pictures, because as I said above, not worth it.

Arrived at 6 pm on a Wednesday, $8 + tax for 2 entrees and 1 side. Entrees and rice were not fresh, but tasted good. If food was hot and fresh, would've been 5 stars. I don't even know how a restaurant can serve old, cold food in this day and age. In the 20 minutes I sat inside, no customers came and the food just sat. They should just make it fresh when customers arrive during times they aren't busy. The place has potential. Lady at front counter was nice, but I won't be coming back.

Ok so this place is like a hidden gem. I wont lie and say the food is always amazing. I have had a few hit or misses there. Honestly you just have to go at the right time. I have the best luck around lunch time 1-2 and anytime in the evening on weekends. Sometimes if no one goes there for a while it seems like the food might be a bit old but honestly at its best and freshest its hands down one of my favorite spots. We always stop by there for a few eggrolls and an order of either the general chicken or Beijing beef. The eggrolls never fail though. So if you feels its a bit old order a few eggrolls and you won't be disappointed.

Friend's boss said this place had "The Best Egg Rolls." Now, that's quite a claim, which naturally produced some healthy skepticism, but also piqued my curiosity. Being an egg-roll afficianado, I had to try. Flavor and texture were great. The veggie egg roll seemed exactly the same as the meat egg roll, just minus the meat (i.e. no additional veggies) so don't go expecting anything spectacular if you're a vegetarian. They forgot to give us sweet & sour sauce, which was a little disappointing. I had some takeout sweet & sour at home. I was just hoping to try what they provide. What stands out the most about these egg rolls is the sheer amount of OIL they hold. Tossing 2 egg rolls in a white paper bag quickly produced the notorious "See-Through Effect" that greasy donuts are known for. Personally, I like oily food. It adds a lot of flavor (assuming there is a good ensemble of flavors to add to in the first place). Even after sitting in a paper bag, there was still enough oil in these puppies to put any fried food to shame 😂 But these GREASY egg rolls are definitely NOT for anyone on a "diet," nor anyone with cardiovascular disease. I think they'd be good for social gathering finger food or the occasional hot greasy Chinese fast food fix. Please Note: I did not try anything besides the egg rolls (both meat and vegetable). I also did not order these myself so I can't speak to other factors such as décor or service. If I try more, I will update this post. Review is for egg rolls alone. Don't say I didn't warn you!

BEST Egg Rolls in the Entire "County"!. I use too go too "King Egg Roll", But they got too "Greasy". And the People working there, went out there way too be as "Rude" as Possible. They acted like, they were doing you a Favor. Well, I returned the favor, by NEVER going there again!. So, don't waste your time and especially your money. House of Egg Rolls, or nothing!. I read the reviews but decided to order anyways. Many of the reviews said that the chicken is overcooked and tough. I actually like my chicken a little overcooked for chinese food, I enjoy that texture. That said this is WAY overcooked. Its basically like chicken jerky, I believe they cook raw chicken pieces so that it will store longer, then bread it and fry when it is needed. Flavor of chicken tastes like old refrigerator chicken, but the sauces are fairly good.
