Sweet Licks Ice Cream

There is a peanut butter ice cream here that I have dreams about nonstop. Probably one of my favorite ice cream flavors of all time. My only gripe is that the portions for the scoops and prices could be bigger, but I also think it’s because you can’t have enough of that ice cream! Definitely stop by for a sweet treat :)

Cute little ice cream shop just off the pier at Cherry Grove. The owner was preoccupied, but helped me out with a couple of scoops. I'm not certain who makes the ice cream, but I wasn't totally satisfied with the flavor--the mint chocolate chip was bland, and the mango sorbet was bland and icy. There isn't a public restroom in the area, but the owner directed me next door. I appreciated that the shop was open late afternoon in the middle of the week, with Fire Island relatively quiet. It was refreshing, though a bit underwhelming in flavor.

I've been coming here for years and I've always had a wonderful experience. The ice cream and desserts are great and the prosciutto bread is phenomenal! Linda is an absolute gem! Last year my partner accidentally left his keys on the counter and Linda ended up coming to ferry dock to make sure we had them before leaving. I can't say enough nice things about this wonderful place! I don't understand how people can leave such misleading comments. They must've been drunk and acting like fools!
