This is a great example of a traditional style Inn. The village is lovely, the pub is good, and everything is much better maintained and cleaned than most such places. The staff were super friendly and helped us out a lot.
There is ample parking, and the road is quiet at night.

An unexpected stay away from our home in the Midlands due to a family emergency. Tony, Debbie & all of the staff (especially Claire) were very kind & supportive which made a difficult time much easier. Starting the day & getting back from daily hospital visits was just what we needed, a nice welcome, excellent food & a good selection of drinks. Thanks very much to you all. We enjoyed the area too, so if we came back we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Just home from a 2 night stay at The Blacksmiths Arms, Cloughton. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, food very good, cleanliness great. The atmosphere was relaxing.

Didn't stay over but popped in for food after a walk. The food was fantastic, and the service was amazing. Couldn't have done any more for me and the dogs. Absolutely recommend for anyone in the area

I didn't stay for the night, I was there for a family meal. An excellent atmosphere, great Landlord & Landlady. A wonderful Sunday dinner, good portions, fairly priced.
Very professional waiting-on staff.
All in all a great experience, recommended.

Staying in a cottage nearby and Booked in Blacksmiths Arms for Christmas dinner.
Faultless I had duck instead of the usual turkey so succulent cooked perfectly my wife and mother in law had turkey dinner which was also as nice.
Staff were so helpful and courteous what a lovely afternoon we had.
Thank you Tony Debbie and all your staff.it was a pleasure.
If I lived here this would be my local without a doubt

This was a wonderful random stop for lunch on our way along the North Yorkshire coast. Lovely meals great cosy lounge by the fire and kindness in sending us on our way with a dessert to enjoy later. Thank you everyone..and Happy Christmas from my wife and me.❄️☺️☺️

My husband and I stopped randomly at the blacksmiths arms on Sat 25th Nov. Talk about a serendipity! How glad we were that we did. We sat next to a glorious roaring fire, then ordered a similarly glorious meal from the lunch menu. The service was excellent, the ambience of the place was perfect for weary travellers and it was everything we could have hoped for & more besides. A huge thank you to the staff who looked after us and for sending us on our way hugely refreshed. Thank you so much for everything.
