Shaka Coffee House & Eatery

Such a delightful coffee house with a very welcoming chilled out atomsphere the owner was professional and very friendly. A big plus for us it's also canine friendly 🙂 It has taken us far too long to try Sha - Ka and it is one of just a few independent coffee houses open on Sunday in Scarborough. We just had drinks but look forward to returning and trying out the food. It's well worth the slight diversion off the High St. Thank you.

So excited to go here when they reopen in their new destination. I rarely go out to eat alone but the retro game consoles made this absolutely worth it (and actually inspired me to buy one myself). Always great service and delicious fresh food. I love the fish tacos and the hot chocolate is sublime. Probably my favourite sit-in food place in Scarborough.

Stumbled upon this place on our walk to the beachfront and we were not disappointed! Family run and staff were so friendly, welcoming and flexible meaning it felt really convenient to dine with our baby in tow. We had the spicy tuna poke bowl, fish tacos and cherry bakewell strudel, everything was so fresh and portions generous. Would highly recommend and definitely drop by again to try something else off the menu! No designated baby changing facilities but an option was made available if needed and plenty of young families dined whilst we were here.

What an awesome hidden gem we discovered while on our way to the seaside! This spot is the place to go for tropical, tiki taco vibes. The decor and musical ambience spark a groovy atmosphere upon entry before being greeted by the lovely, welcoming owner. My husband had only run in to get change for the parking meter but immediately took me back in to eat a fabulously delicious lunch. This place hands down has the best poke bowl I've had outside of the United States! The halloumi fries were so lite and just about melted in our mouths coupled with the tasty chilli sauce. My husband's fish tacos had the most authentic pico de gallo I've ever found in the UK! We will definitely be back for more when we are in town next. Be sure to get to this place as quickly as you can for delicious eats and treats!

Stumbled upon this gem whilst trying to find good vegan food in the area. We were met by a welcoming reception and made to feel very comfortable in their cosy restaurant. We had the poke bowls with vegan chicken and extra avocado which I would highly recommend. It was flavoursome, fresh and filling. The food didn’t take long to arrive and even the side of fries were perfectly done! Not over-seasoned or soggy. I would strongly recommend going here for a fresh, hearty meal for very reasonable prices! There is genuinely nothing I can fault, even if I tried!
