Portage Bay Cafe - Roosevelt

Been to this Portage Bay restaurant on Roosevelt a handful of times now and all have been good experiences. Their cobbler French toast (and the regular French toast) is amazing especially as you can go to the fruit bar and add whip cream, an assortment of fresh fruit, coconut, and even chocolate chips! Today I was here for a work related holiday gathering. The owner was out and about throughout the dining area greeting guests and helping the waitresses with cleaning tables. He asked our large group whose birthday was coming up (mine is in a few weeks) and they covered my dish on the house! Gets a little busy in the morning so I would encourage making a reservation online ahead of time, but I suppose that is good for business! I would recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a delicious brunch spot.

This is my all-time favorite brunch place in the Seattle area! One of the best brunch places in Seattle. We went on Sunday around noon and there was a huge line. Glad we added ourselves to the waitlist through google, highly recommend that. They have a great menu with some very interesting options. We ordered Shakshuka, Goat cheese omelette and Bananas foster french toast and we absolutely loved everything. Highly recommend Shakshuka and Bananas foster french toast. The staff is very friendly and the service is prompt

FANTASTIC brunch with a huge line. Do reserve a table, otherwise you might not get in. My partner got the Blueberry Cobbler French Toast and I got the Kimchi Benedict. They were amazing, and we were totally full after sharing them. Our table of 4 ate for $120 including tip, which was super reasonable. I would 100% go back whenever I'm in Seattle.

How can you say no to Swedish pancakes & bacon?!? I didn't even have to add any extra fruit or butter from their fruit bar! I ❤️ the Roosevelt location; not as noisy as the SLU location, easier to get a walk-in seat, too! Fast and attentive wait staff. I went on a Tuesday morning in September. Perfect time to get a seat right away.

Found this place at the recommendation of our hotel staff. We could smell the delicious food from a ways away! Super glad we tried this place - I ordered the farmer's hash with tofu and mushrooms and it was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were on point. Portion sizes are quite large service was great!

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast around 9:30 on a Sunday. They were fairly busy but we got seated right away. Our server was prompt and friendly. We opted for 2 menu items that allowed access to their "Berry Bar" which was filled with fresh, tasty fruits as well as whipped cream and whipped butter. Food was amazing even without the addition of the fruit but that made it even better. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a great breakfast experience.

We came in as a pretty large group with a reservation (which I recommend given how long the lines were when we arrived) and were seated in about 15 minutes after arriving. The food and menu options are really good! There are quite a few vegetarian options (especially if you’re open to eggs). I ordered the migas which was incredibly flavorful and massive! I also got a side of pancakes and loaded up on fruits and nuts at the breakfast bar! I can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu!
