Hook & Plow

I had breakfast here twice during my stay. The first time I ordered off the menu, and the second time, I enjoyed the buffet. Both would be good choices, in my opinion. Both times, the staff were all friendly, accommodating, and professional. The menu includes a non-pork sausage option and fresh fruit replacements as well. Everyone I encountered during both visits was sincere and easy to converse with as a single diner. The only negative is that their systems and procedures are a bit broken. The first day, I was put on the wait list (about 15 minutes both times) electronically and then was able to go still somewhere not so congested and waut fir a text notification. The second it was a paper list, which made me feel unsure as we all stood or sat in the hallway waiting for our names to be called. but it turned out fine When I had finished my meal, I got up to get a piece of fresh fruit from the buffet to take with me and was planning to sit and finish my coffee before departing. However, a matrodee cleared my table. My waitress was not far behind when I returned to my table so I could pay and be on my may. Overall, the restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast, and I would definitely return if I am ever back in the area.

We dined here while we were staying at the Marriott and we really enjoyed it. The view is beautiful and the service was great. We got the smoked salmon Benedict and the kids' pancake. They were very accommodating to substitute meat products, since we don't eat pork, and they gave us fruit instead. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the cook on the potatoes. They were a bit undercooked and stale. Other than that, everything else was great. Wish we could have enjoyed the buffet on Saturday. We'll save that for the next visit.

It was late and this was the only restaurant open close to our hotel, so we stopped in. Very expensive, but good. My wife got a crab salad that was $39, ouch! It was prepared very nicely and she said it was delicious, but it was painful to pay that much for a salad. I drank a Miller Lite in a can, it was $10.

This place is wonderful-- a hidden gem inside a hotel! The flavor of each meal we had was scrumptious, and now I'm craving it more. The prices were actually decent given the restaurant/hotel is right near the waterfront. The staff had great personalities too. I can't wait to take my out of town friends there again 💞

We were shocked to see that this wasn't busier when we arrived on a weekend morning. This place is so dang good. Had the pork sausage omelette and it was incredible, plus the potatoes were perfectly crispy. My mother in law got the french toast and although it looked super dense, it was light and fluffy and also amazing. The pecan butter or whip, whatever came with it was a great add-on. If you're in the area or staying at the Marriott, I highly recommend visiting!

Dinner at the Hook & Plow was an amazing experience. We ate in the lobby bar while enjoying some live music. The food was perfectly done, steak was medium rare and the scallops were so fresh. The menu keeps it local which adds to the experience. The service was great and the manager was so nice. Would highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I love going to the Hook and Plow for happy hour food and drinks. They've recently changed the happy hour menu into more of a tailgating style.. which is fine, but not as good as their previous happy hour menu's. With that being said we have always loved getting couple cocktails made by Marshall. You can tell that is he really passionate about what he's doing and puts his heart and creativity into his drinks. It's hard for me to list just one drink, because everything he's made has been good. His old fashion is honestly one of the best I've ever had. They're amazing! He also makes an incredible sangria, too! Definitely worth checking out.
