Anchorhead Coffee

Seriously Seattle, with a coffee shop on every corner, one of them has to be subpar. However, Anchorhead Coffee is not one of them. Almost missed it as it's in the corner of a larger building. Shy bear fog was perfect - tea not overwhelming and a taste of burnt honey. The banana loaf was moist and tasty.

We missed this our last visit but managed to squeeze it in this time around. We ordered their pumpkin stuff latte and honey bunches of cold brew. The pumpkin stuff latte had a good balance between sweetness and coffee/caffeine. The honey bunches of cold brew ended up tasting like more like oat milk than anything else. A little too overpowering. Giving this a 4 stars but would be down to come back.

LOVE this coffee shop! I stumbled across this place on a work trip a while back, and when coming back to Seattle this time, I couldn't wait to visit again. It's still just as good as I remember! Coffee is smooth and flavorful. The flavored lattes are not over sweetened like a lot of places and the atmosphere is great to sit and relax.

Situated just minutes away from the major shopping centers of Seattle, Anchorhead Coffee offers a wide range of coffee and pastries. If you’re looking for Third-Wave Specialty Coffee shop that is still within walking distance from Pike Place Market and Saks on Fifth, this is the place to go. They offer both house blend and single origin for espresso, and they used the Narwhal House Blend for their brewed coffee (picture attached). I really love and appreciate their brewed coffee. It’s really sweet and balanced! Besides the usual unsweetened coffee offerings, they also sell flavored latte using homemade syrups. I like their burnt honey latte. The burnt honey syrups lent sweetness and complexity to the drink. Anchorhead also stocks retail coffee beans for sale.

Amongst the best coffee shops in Seattle. The drinks are consistent across all outlets I’ve been and that’s a very hard thing to do. I am a big fan of their seasonal drinks and they always shine through them. Today I got the tangerine caramel latte. The subtle yet marked notes of orange were brilliant.

Is Anchorhead Coffee the best cafe? I can’t answer objectively, mostly because I haven’t visited them all (yet), but I can certainly tell you it’s up for consideration. This cafe is perfect. The vibes are immaculate. The decorations are perfect. It’s not too big or too small. The breakfast sandwich is a classic with a delicious jammy twist. The espresso is smooth, just bitter enough, and it leaves a delicious aftertaste. I will be back every time I visit Seattle!
