Sushi Kanpai

This quiet place tucked away in an unsuspecting corner of First Hill is a perfect balance between comfortable and delicious. We went 90 minutes before closing and it was really mellow vibes, the food came quick and was crafted extremely well, prices were rather affordable for the area. They have a wonderful sake selection that is very well detailed for the newcomers to find exactly what they’re looking for. This place has both baked and fried sushi as well as traditional roles. My favorites were the Heart Attack and Crispy Alaska! The fried ice cream is also great! They have a Demon Slayer Sake that was just delightful. This place is perfect for solo dining, group dining and intimate settings.

The food was fresh and delicious, and I DEFINITELY recommend the Sunset roll! The place is almost a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, which is usually where you get the best food.
