I am a Seattle real estate broker. I contacted Luis/Tula because my client announced that she wanted to put her house for sale in one week. Her property was in bad condition on the exterior of the house and yard. Luis responded very quickly and met my client and I on site to see the scope of the work to be accomplished. He was great to make suggestions on how to best approach the many projects needing to be done in only 3 days(window cleaning, painting, repairs, patching of drywall). He organized his best guys to come out and take care of all the projects and they worked effeciently and they were hard working. All of the efforts paid off when I listed the property and received an offer from a buyer to purchase the property in only 4 days of being on the market! The offer was substantially over the asking price and waived all contingencies! It was valuable working with Luis and his crew! I would highly recommend Tula!

My project consists of removing half a wall (in order to move a piano into a room), then installing two very thick (and heavy) soundproof doors with acoustic sweeps. This process involved design, masking, removing walls and an old door, drywall, spray painting new doors, trim, and baseboard, ordering and installing doors and hardware, soundproofing walls, many inspections, and final cleanup. Over a period of six weeks, I interviewed and got bids from 12 contractors. I wasn’t impressed with any of them for a variety of reasons. I was about to give up when a friend recommended that I contact Luis. Within the first few minutes of him arriving and looking at the scope of the job, I knew this was the right person. Luis is one of the most sincere, knowledgeable, hard-working contractors I’ve known (and, in my lifetime, I’ve hired many). Whereas other contractors submitted bids that were vague or only a final price, Luis emailed a 2-page, detailed spreadsheet of each task - not only for the price breakdown, but to allow me to see if any steps were missing or could be adjusted. I appreciate his professional approach and thoroughness about everything he does. As with any job, there will be hiccups along the way that cannot be foreseen. Luis is quick to solve the problem. The way he approaches every issue to insure that it meets or exceeds your overall design aesthetics is his core strength. He doesn’t simply do something in the hopes that it will be “good enough.” He takes a genuine pride in his work and for each step asks the client if this or that is acceptable. He also offers many alternatives and gives his opinions about which one(s) he feels would work best. One of the most frustrating issues we, as clients, face with many contractors is response time. Luis has always returned my calls or text messages as fast as he can. In addition, he tries very hard to work around a client’s schedule to meet their deadline, even if it means juggling a few things around. Finally, Luis is simply an incredibly friendly, polite, warm person, and one whom I would absolutely invite to a private social gathering (if or when we are all able to do that again!). Without reservations or any hesitation, Luis will be the first person I’ll contact for any future jobs I have. I respect his work experience, knowledge, ethics, and personality. Tula Special Project/ Luis Saga, has consistently done a fabulous job for us - from small projects to larger remodel type projects. Workmanship is of the highest quality with the bonus that Luis is a design-builder so that he has a great eye for detail and design and makes great suggestions for fixtures or whatever is needed. Luis is professional, personable, knowledgeable and reliable. In fact, I live in a different state than my property and have called Tula over a number of years to make repairs and updates. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I worked with Tula on building a gym at my house, and I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. Luis worked with me to create a space with the exact features I wanted, and kept the project under budget (no easy feat, in my experience). Luis and his team were highly professional, communicative, and responsive to whatever questions and concerns came up for me. He was great to work with, and I will absolutely seek out Tula's services again on any future home projects.

Luis runs a very professional operation and is great to work with. There are so many contractors in Seattle that are painful to work with, but Luis is a nice, normal guy that is good at interacting with people, sets clear expectations, has good customer service and produces high quality work.
