i thought the sandwich was going to be a lot bigger than it was - especially when compared to the amount of food you get in a bowl
the exterior bread was ok - solidly crunchy but not amazing - quite dry as well. wish they’d added some flavoring to it
the real star here was the pork - it was fatty, plentiful, and added a ton of flavor. also had a great texture
didn’t taste the sauces that much
also they forgot my egg

love this place! the girl with red and black hair made me an excellent bb special!! it was perfectly toasted and she washed her hands according to my friend who used to work with them. she turned on polite as soon as i walked up to the counter and their feet were in shoes but still smelled awesome. great drip!!! 😎🦅

Had the Red and Black haired person serve me today and it could not have been a better dining experience! Exceeded all my expectations of my order, never had any doubts over the sanitation as I watched them wash their hands at least twice. Thanks!

Went to Sizzle&Crunch Vietnamese Grill for the first time. Ordered their grilled pork banh mi sandwich. It was very delicious 🤤. Flavors were amazing 😻! Customer service was very nice! Love love love it!!! Highly recommended!!!

Sizzle and Crunch is a bustling little restaurant near the heart of the U-District, emphasizing quick Vietnamese food with large portions. A true characteristic of Sizzle and Crunch is the quality. Despite the hefty portion size, they don't skimp out on quality. I had the Grilled Chicken Rice Plate, which was absolutely stupendous. The chicken was well charred, and the side of fish oil and vinegar went incredibly far to zest the dish. The rice reminded me of sticky rice, which gave me a very pleasant sensation while chewing. All-in-all, the food's quality, portion, and cost are adequately adjacent. I will return.

Sizzle & Crunch is a fantastic Chipotle-style Asian fusion restaurant that is sure to leave your taste buds tingling with delight. The restaurant has a great ambiance and a menu that is both extensive and diverse, offering a wide range of Asian fusion dishes to choose from.
While you may be tempted to order through online food delivery platforms like DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub, I strongly recommend going to the restaurant in person. Not only is the food much cheaper when ordered in person, and they are very quick to prepare it.
The prices in-store are reasonable, and as of April 2023, a pork bowl costs just $10.87. This is significantly less than the prices charged by online food delivery platforms, which can be more than $17. By going to the restaurant in person, you'll be able to enjoy delicious Asian fusion dishes at a fraction of the cost, which is a definite plus for any budget-conscious foodie.
Overall, Sizzle & Crunch is a great restaurant that offers delicious Asian fusion food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves bold flavors and enjoys trying new things. Just remember to skip the delivery platforms and go to the restaurant in person – your bank account will thank you for it!

Yummy lunch in the U District. It's Chipotle style meets Vietnamese. You can create your own bowl or have a Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich). Their fish sauce ( Nuoc mam) was not over powering. Meat was flavorful.

We stopped here for lunch after a rainy day at the UW cherry blossom.
This shop has very limited seating options and that's probably the only thing that's a bit of a letdown.
Otherwise I'd say the name of the place says it all. You get tasty char grilled meats either as a rice bowl or in a banh mi, pretty much every dish comes with a fried egg.
The meat is so well cooked that you remember the rich charred flavor hours after you had it.
And in my opinion, the banh mi is even better than the rice bowl. Be aware, they only make 100 banh mi per day, so when they run out, you'll probably have to go with the rice bowl. Think of the Sizzle&crunch banh mi as the "Paseo of banh mi", thick and messy and oh so good ! You have to open your mouth wide to take a bite and get a bit more napkins, you'll need them.

I enjoyed my bahn mi even if I found it to be somewhat unremarkable. Pretty great for the price though! It was also very busy when I visited Saturday afternoon and seating options are very limited.

I ordered the pork belly half and half salad/rice bowl. The portions were generous witht the pork, rice and salad. The pork was delicious; it had a delicious flavor and melted in your mouth. The flavor from the salad dressing complimented the pork flavor and rice/soy sauce. I saved the egg to pair with the rice, just a nice finish to a hearty meal. Staff were swift at assembling the bowl and were very polite/friendly. I definitely will be going back.
