As someone who has lived in Asia, I've been in search of a Taiwanese restaurant in Seattle that is AS GOOD as what I was able to get in Taiwan. Rocking Wok is that place. The family that runs it is lovely. The space is cozy. No frills. Excellent food. 5 stars.

Sad to see place closed. Was told they are re-opening under new ownership and new menu. The Taiwanese menu was a little unique from most of the Chinese restaurants in Seattle.

Good authentic food at very reasonable prices in a cozy mom-and-pop-feeling shop. Pictured are the Braised Lion's Head and a Szechuan spicy fish fillet. I've also enjoyed classics like their wonton and honey walnut shrimp before.

great spot for some taiwanese food
the beef stew noodles are great with the hand cut noodles. the pork intestine vermicelli was also very well flavored and seasoned
the bawan is so very nice with great texture and chew
the Xiao long bao was also nice
basically can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu including the various bento combos
definitely a great taiwanese comfort spot
take out order was easy and was waiting

One of those hole in the wall restaurants, but food is amazing. My new favorite

Ordered braised pork ball (also called braised lion’s head) and minced pork rice with egg for to go. Braised lion’s head is delicious 😋 and definitely worth a try, especially you like sweet-tasting dishes like Shanghai cuisine and Hangbang cuisine. The sauce thickening for the lion’s head meatballs isn’t very good but the meatballs themselves are tasty. Minced pork rice is bad.😔Small portion with little minced pork but cost almost $10, not authentic Taiwanese flavor. Not recommended.🙃

As one born and raised in Taiwan, I can verify that they provide authentic Taiwanese traditional foods, with excellent quality and affordable price. Highly recommended.

The lunch special came with soup, a spring roll, and rice. You can pick from a good selection of meats and other dishes.
We got mongolian beef, minced pork and broccoli beef. All the meats were too salty for our taste, but the rest of the meal was great.
They didn't have iced water at the time, but we were given free tea and cold water.

This restaurant has a feel of mom & pop restaurant. We love all the dishes we ordered.

Best Sichuan Beef Hot Pot in town!! The soup is super flavorful. The boss lady told me instead of buying the soup base, they created their own. I like all the ingredients in it as well! I can actually eat a big one by myself—very satisfying…
