One of the Royalty of dive bars in Seattle....it has been there for almost 100 years....it is a staple of the UW scene!

I give the Duchess 5 stars because when I visited yesterday, one of the staff members did something that few restaurants or bars ever do anymore.
They thanked me for visiting and ‘joining them for the evening - asking then if they could do anything for me. The lady who welcomed me had a warm smile and was truly lovely. I will be forever a fan of the Duchess having simply been thanked for visiting. Top class!

This is an awesome little dive bar with great and fun bartenders! Super chill environment, good vibes and definitely a big bang for your buck.

Friendly staff. Tasty burger and fries. Had a Seattle Cider on draft (important for folks with Celiacs disease). Very chill environment, but the music was a little loud (but good selection). Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed our visit and will come back again.

Great neighborhood meeting spot. Casual and laid back, been around since 1934! Full bar and lots of cold drafts on tap. Great burgers and wings along with other pub fare and always good music playing thanks to Misha! Tell Natile or Will that Troy sent you.
