Fat Duck's Deli And Bakery

Fat Duck Deli was one of the first places I visited when we moved in across the street. The owner was the sweetest and would always hand me some extra candy, even if I was just picking up a lemon bar (my favorite). I could tell she would try to make everyone feel welcome and loved the students living in the area. So sad to hear she’s passed away, I’ll miss her so much.

Have always loved this bakery and the owner, who was so sweet to us and who never failed to throw a few extra things in the bag for free, every time we came here. Unfortunately it looks like they have closed, as the sign is down and the store was being cleared out when I walked past this afternoon. I hope she's okay, she was like the tiny little grandmother I never had. ❤️

Oh my gosh, the bagel dog is so good! I got it with the jalapeño and jalapeño jack cheese bagel with just mustard and relish, and it was delicious!! I also got the coleslaw which I like the taste but it’s just too goopy for me. I also had a piece of carrot cake, which for me was too much cinnamon and possibly ginger tasting but with the icing it even did it out and it was pretty good. Also, they sent me a little surprise. I got a full size chocolate Hershey’s candy bar, and some Hershey kisses and a little mini snickers bar and on top of that a cheese of some sort, rosemary, bagel!! definitely will order from here again.

I was craving a brownie specifically and randomly found Fat Ducks from a keyword search. I ended up ordering the brownie, the chocolate peanut butter bar, the shortbread caramel and chocolate bar, and a lemon bar on doordash. Each of these desserts came very “sticky” and wet/moist. For me that is the way baked good should be! I was in heaven!! They all came cold and were fair portion sizes. 🎉 Seeing my name with a little smile face drawn on the bag, and little bonus treats with “happy Saturday!” written on the bag inside seriously made my entire night!! It was just so cute and unexpected. Would order again any day and can’t wait to visit in person!
