Lovely spot for fresh udon on a chilly day - I had the kake udon soup with shrimp, kabocha squash, and eggplant tempura. I also tried the Japanese caramel pudding, which was delicious, but a little more like crème brûlée texture. Prices were decently priced for the portion sizes. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in Seattle!

I’ve been here multiple times and small Katsu Curry Udon is always my favorite. Seaweed is extra charge but totally worth it 👍 the curry was rich and complemented well with the udon noodles. I came at 11:10am so they just opened and the katsu was hot and crispy Tip: if you are SU student, show your SU ID for discount 😊

U:Don is a traditional udon shop where you can order your noodles separately and pick out the different pieces of tempura that you like a la carte. We ordered the zaru (cold) udon and (hot) niku udon. For tempura we got the karaage, green beans, potato croquette, and shrimp. The udon both come with a side of ginger, wasabi, and green onion. You can request more for a potential extra surcharge. The hot niku udon was easily the best. The meat was sliced thin and soaked up the flavor of the broth wonderfully. The cold dipping broth for the zaru soba wasn't bad, but wasn't the best that I've had. The udon noodles themselves were chewy and cooked perfectly. All of the tempura were amazing. My personal favorites were the shrimp and potato croquette which had tiny pieces of sweet corn that added a great pop of sweetness. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my visit to U:Don. The prices are pretty affordable while the portion sizes are still fairly large. Combined with the fact that you can select your favorite tempura a la carte makes U:Don a stable spot in my book.

The food was delicious! It was my first time, it’s affordable and fast. It’s convenient if you are in a rush. I like how they have a wide variety of options from: soup, dip or sauce. And then a wide variety of flavors

This place is a 10/10 for me, both cheap and costly dishes are served here. The udon noodle is always chewy, tasty, at a good quality of its price. There’s always plenty of seating, no wait, and the sides and noodles are almost always ready for you to grab a quick lunch or dinner. There’s limited parking though, I usually would take the public transit such as the Link since it is pretty close to the Capitol Hill station

This is a nice no-frills udon spot for a quick and casual meal. The food is served cafeteria style. Great for when you want some warm and tasty food for cheap. Portions are quite large! I normally can’t finish a large completely.

Good freshly made udon. Can be made vegan upon request. It's a bit difficult to decide on your type of udon and toppings. It would help to get a bit more guidance or ready made options. You can eat there but it's more of a fast food type and it's self service.

The ramen shop around the corner was too popular, so we chose this udon shop instead— it was a great experience! The quality was pretty good! Noodles were chewy, the flavor was good! Definitely recommend it and would come back again!

Nothing beats a hot broth udon noodles on a cold night. This place was pretty nice. I got the tan tan with extra meat. The spice level was perfect. My wife got the kamo nanban which was also pretty good. We also took some tofu and broccoli tempura.
