Cafe Nordo

Dining in the dark event organized by Fever. $80 per person tickets for 3 course meal all blindfolded. We had a blast trying to figure out what we were eating. Ambiance is beautiful and it all very well organized. At some point I abandoned my spoon and fork and used my hand to figure what I was eating. That made it even more fun. I’d have loved be one of the waitstaff and be able to observe the diners eat. Would be watching toddlers eat 😂. Lots of fumbling, smeared mouths and eating with hands. Food was 4/5. Coleslaw was a little bland and cornbread a bit dry. I had opted for the meat option and had asked for no pork. I was served meat that was not pork but not sure what kind of meat I ate. It tasted good but would’ve liked to know in the end for my own peace of mind. Dessert was fun - Chantilly cream, chocolate, pop rocks and berries was fun to eat blindfolded. I had a Solid Gold for $15 and thought it was ok. Found the spices overwhelming. Couldn’t taste the fig or apricot. My friend ordered wine that came in a water glass - they could go with stemless glasses if they’re worried about customers spilling. Something about thin glassware and white wine that goes so well 😋 Area is sketchy so a bit concerned if my car was safe (it’s Seattle)

Words can’t do justice to how good the show was!! I absolutely loved the idea of an immersive dinner experience. The food was great and they had a bunch of cocktails that matched the Alice in wonderland theme. Can’t recommend cafe Nordo enough. They also have karaoke right after dinner, which I loved. You will most likely have to make a reservation in advance and I would also recommend dressing up a bit to fit the theme. It just makes the night more fun. Can’t wait to go back for more shows!

Went to Down the Rabbit Hole, part of the Alice in Wonderland shows. The decor and atmosphere were perfect, each party had a private table (no sitting with strangers), the food was amazing and inventive, the performers were lively and very talented, costumes were gorgeous, and the drinks were to die for. I'm definitely planning on going back for another show sometime!
