La Palmera Mexican Restaurant

What a great find... The food was amazingly delicious and served with amazing service. In my experience at many places servers expect tips regardless if the food was poorly prepared or their own service was lacking. When coming to a restaurant like this however the servers are personable and earn every bit of their tip. I would absolutely recommend this delicious restaurant with amazing service.

The food is pretty good, and the drinks are excellent. I tried the enchiladas poblanos and the chicken was cooked perfectly, but the sauce was a bit on the sweet side and could have been spicier to balance the dish. Tried the gold margarita and the mojito and both where solid. There is better Mexican food in downtown, but this is on the upper end. And what really makes it is the service, which was friendly and prompt, with a staff that just makes you feel at home. Definitely worth coming back to.

Great spot for American style Mexican food, though they also have some more authentic options. We used to order from here all the time for takeout during covid and I’m glad to see they’re still open! We dined in recently and had a great experience. $7 sangria is big and good. It seems like the happy hour is all day?? My favorite dish is their Enchiladas Suizas and my partner likes their California burrito. Yum!!
