Maslow's

Came here for Restaurant Week since gf wanted to try it out. Food was surprisingly average... not bad, but not great either. The chicken was dry, the fish was oily, and they were both kind of bland. Very forgettable unfortunately. However, the Apple "crisp" was delicious! It's more like bread pudding cause there's nothing crispy about it, but the subtle sweetness and warm contrasted with the ice cream was spot on. Seems like an okay spot for happy hour though.

I'm a FareStart fan, for all they do and how they transform lives. I'm also a foodie. Maslow's is my dream come true. The food is amazing AND it's helping people. I would truthfully come here and recommend it as a foodie even if it wasn't having such a positive impact on the community, which it is. The ambiance is beautiful and so far people don't know about this gem for it to have a wait either. Only downside is beware that it closes early (at 9) during the week.

Cool location and good food...but the service was slow, even though we were the only table in the whole restaurant and there was a surplus of wait staff. There is an automatic 20% gratuity for all size parties. Happy Hour cocktails are very good, but pricing was confusing - our waiter told us that cocktails were $7 during happy hour, but when the bill came he said it was a mistake and they actually cost $10-$12. The manage fixed the bill, so we paid the quoted price.

I got the chicken wings and they were quite disappointing. Their fried sweet potatoes were OK. But nothing crazy to make you come back. My friend had the fish and chips and said those were pretty good, but it's hard to mess those up specially on Seattle. The place is very pretty and good looking, service was good, but the food wasn't anything yo make you return it wasn't bad at all but there are surely better options on downtown.
