Koibito Sushi & Teriyaki

Koibito's offerings are as simple as the place looks. We normally order the chicken teriyaki. It's perfect for sharing. I'd suggest it for an adult and one child. Our lunch usually includes a salad which is always perfectly crisp + dressing on the side. My husband and I typically order the rolls. The best offerings are the specialty rolls: spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, unagi, and crunch roll. My husband likes the homey quality of the fried rice, as well. The items are very well packaged, as we often order lunch to go, and the service is excellent. The reception is always warm and the owners are very generous. This is one of the neighborhood spots we frequent once a week because it is reliably good and we appreciate the fast service.

I have nothing but good things to say about this spot- The most notable being that every time I come, the staff are always SUPER nice. I find myself in a good mood just by coming in to pick up my doordash order because everyone is so ridiculously friendly and glad to be there! I've ordered several things from here, and while everything is good the poke bowl is my favorite. It's not super customizable but it's delicious and the sauce it comes with is literally perfect in every way. The inside is small and cozy, but never particularly cramped because it opens up into an alleyway and the door is open when the weather is nice.

This place is ok. I have had better teriyaki. A couple times I've had worse. The vegetarian options lack. The veggies have little variety. This is nothing I would crave. It doesn't fill that craving for teriyaki tofu. I most likely won't likely go back unless I start eating meat. The meat looked decent and a fair number of people were there getting food. No one really seemed excited about getting their food though.

So delicious and fast!! I got the spicy chicken breast teriyaki and my boyfriend got the spicy tuna roll with some nigiri. I absolutely loved my teriyaki, perfect amount of spice and perfect temperature and I can tell the chicken breast is great quality and it’s also been cooked really well. (And I’m super picky with my chicken!) And my boyfriend used to be a sushi chef- and he was pleasantly surprised with their spicy tuna roll, said it was unique! Definitely will visit again.
