Ben Thanh Restaurant

When I came in there was only a small family. I wanted to go out because I thought the food wasn't as good because there was only 1 table taken. My family and I came were so hungry if it was the only place around. The workers are nice and the chef even severed the food for us instead of the waitress. The portions were huge. If you are a getting the pho u might want to share with someone. The beef pho broth was flavorful. I also tried there phat Thai the portion was also big it was spicy but you can change the spicy ratio. It did take a while for the food to come out. Over all it was great!

The food was OK. The portions were bigger than I'd like, maybe to make up for the higher prices. I'd rather pay less and get an amount of food I'll actually eat. They were playing really bad Kenny G style smooooth jazz with high pitched saxophone.while showing CNN on one TV and facial pore cleaner infomercials on another. Not a pleasant environment. The service wax OK. Iced coffee was OK but not great. Didn't taste fresh. Probably won't go back unless word of mouth reviews from friends indicate improvement.

I stopped by this place to eat to grab a quick bite to go. I ordered a Thai iced tea which came in a glass bottle which was tasty. I ordered the Mongolian meat plate. The waiter tried to convince me to buy another plate of rice costing $10 more. We went back and forth and I kept saying I just want the meat that's all. Finally she went back to cook it up. I ordered it to go. I asked for chopsticks and found out after I had driven away that the chopsticks I got had been chewed on by some sort of mouse or rat. The meat was all greasy. I had 3 bites and had to throw the rest away cause it was causing my stomach to turn. Won't ever be coming back to this place.
