Starbucks

The Starbucks on Eastlake Ave is a really nice stand-alone shop. There is no drive-thru but the parking lot is easy to navigate in and out of. It has a really nice selection of food and accessories as well. Everyone there is super friendly too. It’s a great place to get a cup before heading for a stroll around Lake Union.

Skip this location. This location doesn’t seem to be too interested in staying in business. Multiple recent closures due to employee strikes and refusals to open throughout COVID. They have since struggled with staying open, they now close around 2/3pm most days, don’t open until 7:30 on Saturdays and are completely closed on Sunday’s. When they are open they rarely have pastries. And refuse to give refunds when you have ordered on the app and they are out of stock. This place is a nightmare. Seems like a lot of petty squabbles among staff, in which they are literally posting their internal gossip on their front door. I would not be surprised if this location closes in the next 6 months- next closest Starbucks are Capital Hill or South Lake Union, best bet is to start giving your business to Copper Tree, Eastlake Coffee, Grand central Bakery, or Le Fournil.

We sure hope Starbucks in Eastlake will be re-opening soon! We miss you in the neighborhood. Update: This location can be frustrating. There have been many Saturdays they’ve been closed. Depending on staff, some days drinks are good, others they’re off. Will continue to return out of convenience, but there are definitely other coffee shops and Starbucks out there that are better.
