My experience with Mama Sambusa Kitchen was not as great as the other reviewers. I called the restaurant around opening time (4pm) on Saturday to see if I could place an order for delivery through UberEats. I was told that they were not yet prepared to take delivery orders and that I could call them to place an order around 5pm. I waited an entire hour to give them a call and they did not answer. In fact, my calls started going straight to voicemail after the 3rd attempted call. I saw the address listed on Yelp so I decided to make a trip there. When I arrived, no one seemed to be there. I asked the men at the convenience store next door if Mama Sambusa Kitchen was open and one of the gentleman told me that she doesn't usually open until 5pm (By that time it was already 5:12pm). If you're hungry and time is important to you, this may not be the place to try out. Punctuality is important and this place doesn't seem to care.

One of the best places to get authentic Somali food in the city. I ordered Faud's fettuccine with salmon and some sambusas. It was definitely worth the drive because the service, food, hospitality, professionalism, etc were 10/10. The food was AMAZING, they're open late and they're a lovely family owned business. What's there not to love? Thank you again!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this gem of a restaurant! Honey and her Mom own and operate it. On the phone, Honey walked me through how to order on UberEats and then, when I asked if she could add a little note to my order to surprise/encourage my sister during her finals, she casually said, oh I'll just go across the street and buy a card for you. WHAAAAT?! Who does that?! These amazing women, that's who! ALSO, my sister said the sambusa was the BEST, most authentic sambusa she's had since she was living in the UAE and that the food was all so delicious. Thank you SO much all around Honey (and Honey's mom)!!

She makes a very good orange sauce that goes on almost everything there. I got the gyro and fries. It was good. I think the gyro meat is pre-made but not sure. Everything was fresh and hot but she does get busy so you may have to wait a bit for your order. I want to try the Alfredo next time, she had many orders for that.

My daughter and I stopped by here for the 1st time tonight. I must say- the food was on point!!The spicy chicken sandwich was FIRE!!! 🔥🔥 The sandwich was Seasoned to perfection!! I also ordered salmon and beef Sambusa’s they were also 🔥. Along with great customer service. Mama Sambusa has great food and you will not be disappointed!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
