Domino's Pizza

I was in the area and got a call from home to bring some food to eat. I looked up the closest Dominos and I was directed to this store. I usually order the specialty Meatzza with the pan crust. It’s $2 more but way worth it. I didn’t order through the Dominos App. because I take so long and I knew they were closing soon. But ordering from the app. allows me to use the coupons which can save you $$. Every time when I call and order, I ask if they can help me with any discounts or coupons that apply to my pizza. And I’m told “No, not on this order” but if I order on line I can find one that fits. But not tonite, when I asked about a coupon or discount this gentleman said “can you hold on sir? I will gladly check for you.” And a few moments later he goes down this list saying “I can save you a couple dollars on this one, and oh yeah, I forgot I have a 50% promo deal going on at this store everyday after 8pm till close. How does that sound?” I said, for real? What’s your name? He said my name is Johnny sir, and yes, 50% off your order is for real. Now there is something you don’t get very often especially now during the pandemic great customer service and have a sense of humor. I asked if I could speak to a manager so that I can give him kudos. Then he informs me that he just became the MOD at the store on 17th SW by Roxbury. Well Johnny, keep up the good work, congratulations on your promotion and thank you for the savings on an awesome pizza!

I am a firm believer in supporting businesses within the white center area. However, I was appalled by the lack of customer service I received. I understand things get busy, however waiting 2 hours for a pizza is just unacceptable and quite frankly not worth it. And to top that off, the lack of excuses is beyond me. I know this is not how Dominos operates their franchises and are held to higher standards in customer service which was not provided in my experience tonight. To illustrate, we ordered a pizza around 5:30, an hour passed by and I call to check up and was told should be ready in 30 minutes. I had my mom call to check on things around 7:30pm, Sydney picks up and then hangs up on my mom. I call back to check and no answer. So I use my sisters phone calling from a different number and immediately get someone and it’s Sydney. I expressed my frustration and wanting to cancel my order and before I could confirm my order was cancelled she hung up on me. Of course I needed to figure out if the order was actually cancelled, forcing me to have to go to the actual store to confirm. I am baffled at the lack of customer service your employee Sydney provided. I understand you're frustrated and busy and I have empathy towards that. However, I will not tolerate a bad attitude and being hung up on. The lack of problem solving skills let alone deescalation methods is apparent. I highly suggest reevaluating your bottom line and operational efficiency since clearly this is a pattern based off your previous reviews.
