Universal Pizza & Burger Bar

I have been a loyal customer to this place for many years. I love the thin chips, which are crispy and always delicious. Many takeaways do the fat chips which I do not like. If you love thin chips, this place gives a good portion for large size. The pizzas are really good. Generally order a Margherita or Vegetarian. Love how unlike Prime Pizza, this place actually fills their pizzas with sauce and toppings right to the crust. Leaving very little plain crust, and the pizza sizes are quite generous. Service is 5 stays mainly from the lady with the headscarf. She works hard and is very pleasant. Really appreciate how the venue will call you when your Collection order is ready if you order over the phone. The actual interior is very nice after the refurbishment. Very clean with soft seats and customer toilets. The only reason I went with 4 stars, is the prices have risen and there are cheaper alternatives around Firth Park and Page Hall area. I do feel £7.50 for a large Margherita, which has no added toppings, is a bit much. However if you have the money, the food does taste nice and that is why I choose to stay, as long as they don't change the chips/fries.

I went in and ordered food. It took a little long to make but I guess that is why it was fresh and perfect. Ever since the new refurbishment the food has been banging. My mother doesn't like takeaway food like burgers, fried chicken etc, but she loved this and this takeaway is now definitely our go to. The quality, freshness and amazing prices are bad news for any competitors. Young lad at the till was nice as well.
