We love this place! With a cozy and historic decor, the restaurant is truly unique. Delicious entrees, tasty cocktails and a friendly staff make this a must try.

Food and service were both just above adequate. Drinks took quite a while because "the bartender is an artist", but ended up being mediocre. Overall, a bit better than run-of-the-mill, but I wasn't blown away.

We had a lovely meal for four last night, in the private dining room. Service was warm, funny, and excellent. The black bass with risotto was superb. Tomato salad and mussels were great appetizers. And the half-chicken was well-seasoned and came with delicious greens. Good wine list (by glass or bottle). And very reasonable prices for the quality of dining!

4th time here over five years and the food was the best ever. Don't know if the chef is new but the menu seems the most manageable and the least pretentious. Very good taste and well sourced. The atmosphere as always is wonderful.

A local gem with a beautiful atmosphere, private, romantic dining areas and fires. Our food was delicious and the service was great. Enjoy music afterwards in the DCSC.

Lots of history and lots of space indoors and out. We were outside and it was a perfect night. A nice limited menu which makes things easy. Appetizers were excellent, entrees were good. We started with mussels & frites and the beet salad... both delicious. Short Ribs entrees were a little dry, veggies were good. Black Bass entree was better.
Outside tables are nicely spaced, screened in porch had potential and there were private dining rooms as well.
I suspect the menu is seasonal, we're going back in the fall to find out and really put the fire pits to good use. Maybe even stay over at the lodge.
A funky place that reminded us of Dream Away.

Our meals (duck confit and short ribs) were superb and the golden beet app has an uncommon flavor that was really yummy! The staff were very accommodating to my food allergies and the the drinks were beautiful and expertly crafted! We enjoy our visits there every time!!

You simply must treat yourself to this historic, landmark, fine dining restaurant. It's a nice, relaxing 1 hr. drive from Albany. We thought the food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. My scallops were cooked to perfection.
