Ground Control Cafe

Visiting this cafe was 100% out of convenience rather than planned, but what a treat it turned out to be. The decor is lovely, the service was fine. I gave 4 out of five for service as we weren't ready to order on the first visit to our table, and only a couple of minutes later we were but no one came over, so I went to order at the counter. No biggie. The food and coffee were delish and I mean 100% delish. They were visually pleasing, too. Pity I didn't take a photo. Gluten-free is becoming the norm now, but I haven't had such a good tasting gluten-free bagel in a long time. I'm not sure I would tell the difference between a wheat and this gluten-free one. All in all, I really recommend this place.

A great place to meet with friendly efficient service. Food is delicious.. and I really appreciate being able to order a half size eggs bene.. perfect.. with salmon. I tried the mushrooms my mother (and sister) had ordered as well.. and I may have those next time as they were so good. But then again the eggs bene on crispy potato rosti was the best! Parking was easy too .. so all round Ground Control is a great café destination and I can’t wait to go back..

Had a bottomless filter coffee for just $7. Definitely worth it. I also tried their eggs benedict with hash brown and hollandaise sauce. It was filling and delicious. The location is also nice with indoor and outdoor seatings. The staff are accommodating and friendly. You can enjoy and relax here after you visit the Auckland Adventure Park, which is a few minutes walk away.
