Veneto Italian Restaurant

We wanted to love this place so bad. Nice quaint restaurant. The service we received was warm and friendly. The clean establishment and had a relaxing Italian music in the background. But, the food was awful. My spaghetti and meatballs was bland and the meatballs were cold. I only ate half of a meatball and 3 bites of of the spaghetti. My wife's Salmon Risotto was also hard to eat. The Salmon was overcook and dry. The Risotto was cooked whole rice with sweet cream. It was not Risotto. And her mixed vegetables were soggy and bland.

Customer service is good but the food portions for the money we paid was not reasonable. We ordered to go, a pizza, fettuccine alfredo, and antipasto salad. When we received our order 😢😢😢😢 the bag was lighter than a helium balloon. Very small portions and we had ordered large sizes. Although the flavor was good but this guys need to improve on the serving size. Compared to other Italian restaurants this one we won't be back. Sorry.

We were heartbroken that That's A Some Italian in Poulsbo closed. The Italian restaurants around here are slim pickings. First Campana's closes, then the other one in Poulsbo. I don't like Tony's or Spiros so we decided to try this. Not worth the 62.00 I spent...at all. Why are Hispanics cooking "authentic" Italian food? Which BTW is not authentic. They're doing a horrible job. Too much oregano, very watery, bland sauce. My spaghetti tasted fishy. While I realize they serve items with seafood, they should be watching what they are doing as far as cross contamination goes. The service was ok, but the food? Honestly, go somewhere else. The prices do not remotely reflect the quality you get.

Almost everything was perfect! Excellent customer service, warm atmosphere, great flavors! Things we didn’t like was the scallops were superrrrrrr small on the scallop risotto. And it was very sweet if you mixed everything. The gnocchi with meat sauce was delicious in sauce BUT the gnocchi was so doughy it was like mozzarella. I unfortunately couldn’t finish it because of the texture. My mother had the Gorgonzola pasta I believe and that was by far my favorite! However, if you don’t like garlic, I don’t recommend because it’s SUPER garlicky, which I loved! Overall, will be back!

Our dinner started with Olive oil and balsamic vinegar with extra herbs for Extra deliciousness as a dip for the bread. The Lovely scallops were served on a bed of Flavorfull risotto. The pasta dish with chicken, vegetables and wonderful sauce was so large, we had Plenty of leftovers that tasted great at home too. We look forward to our next tasty visit!
