Paris Baguette

Ordered the velvet cream chocolate as they stop putting earl grey chocolate on their menu. Taste wise, it’s pretty much similar to Starbucks, with a blander aftertaste in comparison. Price/volume wise, it’s pretty clear who’s the winner. That said, I’m hoping they bring back their chocolate drink selection with tea in the mix as it’s really good..

Poor service and rude staff. Oven spoilt, so you either get your croissant served cold or mushy when heated with microwave. I am unsure why staffs in this particular outlet are working in low morale. The assistant at the croissant serving counter was impatient with a middle-aged lady that was queuing before me. The staff at the counter was expressing her unhappiness about the line of queue and was displaying poor customer service. I was surprised that basic customer service of thanking customer after the purchase was also not practiced. In addition to that, she rudely handed receipts to customers. I do not expect premium service, however, I do not expect customers like us to be treated badly too. After the queue was dismissed, the counter lady was engrossed with her phone and my latte was not made until I reminded her. Her other colleagues were seen shifting salad boxes and cake trays from one end to another and back to the original spot. Perhaps, the store only had one staff that was trained to use the coffee machine. It seems like the outlet is under-staffed and existing staffs do not have the capability to carry out the functions. It is no wonder why this outlet has poor review on Google map.

Queued an hr just to pay for a salad that was already pre made for take and go. The queue wasn’t too long either. Worst was the service! There was a service staff behind the cake counter wearing a tie and blue shirt uniform that was refilling the cakes and showed her frustration by opening the cake counter so roughly that the macarons promotion signboard drop and hit my head yet there was no apology from her. A customer behind me had to help pick up the board and put it back. I understand work can be exhausting on a weekend but please watch the attitude.
