Shiki Hototogitsu Ramen

Tonkotsu Smoked Pepper and Black Spicy broth are quite special, cannot resist slurping them. Noodles portion slightly smaller than usual. Having a set is just nice. The orders take a while despite not too crowded and hot tea is already lukewarm when served. Despite these, this place is worth a return trip.

Overall the foods just taste average for me.Not so impressed with the foods but can taste the ramen did not put any msg because it’s not salty and do not have heavy after taste. The waitress are friendly and repeating our orders for confirmation. The ambience is good as we sit close to the waterfall to have our meal.

Honestly it’s like any other Ramen in town. The super spicy is overly spicy for me and in order not to have stomach burnt, did not drink the fiery lava broth. Thinly slice pork Japanese char Siew, thinner than thin sliced ham but tasty. Highly recommend NOT to have the chilli paste added, but separated, add according to your tolerance. The waiter could have sound a warning before ordering. - Soft Japanese Eggs are sold separately, $2 each.

Had the smoked pepper ramen set. Enjoyed the pepper but found the broth too salty. Rather stingy on the toppings too- only one slice of pork and spring onions… gyoza that came as a side was decent though! Staff looked a bit lost and disengaged.. though the restaurant was quite empty when I went we still had to request for tea refills multiple times. Best thing about the place is probably the views (if you can get a table next to the fountain)
