Captain K Seafood Tower

Visited on V day for dinner. The place was almost emptied. Overall it was a letdown. Will not visit again. Food quality and portion - ordered 3 tier seafood tower. Mussels were a big letdown given the small quantity and the tiny size of meat 90% of the time, tasteless and tough. Oysters also quite tough possibily due to over steamed, more suitable to have it on ice w lemon. Clams are worse. The only item that was average is the prawn and the sambal sauce not bad. Service - the one attended to us was impatient to questions from first time patrons and not really bother to explain much. The other one attended to us more attentive to our request. Price - Value is not there given the pricey items, low quality food and bad service on special occasions like such.

First visit dated on 3rd week Jan 2022 Likes their concept by using tiers steaming method to cook the seafood.. But because there is an attractive 2 ppl set of mix seafood inclusive of prawns, clams, mussels and a whole crab cook in various choices of sauces for you to choose, also an additional choice of carbs that all cost only $82++ .. So we chosen this set and will be back for steaming seafood together with various choices of soup. Another offer that don't miss! Every Monday offer fresh oysters only $2 per piece that very worth it that you must try! The Kimchi very tasty too and free flow!

Had my dinner here before they end Apr closing down. Dine in time 1.30 hrs. N better make reservations before u go. We ordered Crab in da Pat, n add on some fried mantou, just nice for 3 person. Crab n seafood consider fresh. Not sure bcos of closing down; the the staffs quite in the rush, miss out the order, n even we’re still eating they will chase for bill, this impression not so good.

Captain K Seafood Tower is known for their seafood tower. However, we decided to go for their steamboat option as we prefer soup base as compared to the seafood options. Although we are the odd one out, we truly enjoyed the steamboat options. Their Tomato based soup is the BEST choice we have decided out of all the food we ordered. It's sweet and not gelate. It also goes well with the assorted mushrooms and pork. Tomato based and White Chicken soup is a great combination that we have chosen. Other items we ordered are egg tofu and egg. The portions shown are for 2 females and 1 male and we felt very satisfied and full after the meal. The kimchi is so good! It's sweet and crunchy, not that spicy. We enjoyed the multiple sauces that come together. One thing that do bothers me is the smoke that comes up quite frequently when the soup are being cooked. Seats were comfortable. They have toilet within the restaurant. Entertainment in terms of music, dance shown on the TV makes the experience memorable. We orderd the Arctic Tower set with ginseng chicken soup base recommended by the staff plus salt grilled squid. We thought that the seafood tower come in 3 tiers due to the menu image. Only notice the 3rd (bottom) tier actually is the add on soup base after served. The 1st tier of seafood is cold, more like precook in advance. 2nd tier is warm might due to the 3rd tier soup base is boiling. Both the seafood tower and salt grilled squid was so bland. Lucky they do have a self service counter to select your dipping sauce and kimchi. Prawn, scallop and oyster are fresh and juicy but the clams and mussels are small and dry. The staffs are friendly and attenive.

If you love your seafood, @captainksg will quite literally leave you with tiers of joy 🤣 offering unique experience, the Seafood Tower comes stacked with different layers of cooked seafood where a variety of seafood are cooked layer by layer from top to bottom to delight your senses and finished off with a steamboat broth. We had the 3 tiers Seafood Tower which is good for 2-3 pax. Beginning from top down, fresh plump Prawns and Clams. Next, Oysters, Mussels and Scallops with glass noodle and garlic, the glass noodle absorbs the natural flavour of the scallop while the garlic enhanced it further. We find the seafoods all very fresh. As the seafoods is steamed, the accumulated natural essence are collected at the bottom steamboat broth, adding a fresh seafood sweetness to it. We have our broth is Korean-inspired ginseng chicken broth and it come in entire chicken. The chicken meat is so tender, it basically fall off the bone. They also serve complimentary kimchi.
