8 Korean Bbq

Korean BBQ is by default a really nice and enjoyable meal so standards and expectations are high to begin with! Eight does change things up a little by offering you 8 different flavors of pork belly for you to choose from. If you have 4 or more people I'd recommend getting all eight flavors. The stew was great too and we were so so full by the end of the meal. No complaints about service either!

Service was fast and they grill the meat for you, overall pretty good service. However, slightly disappointed with one thing - I handed them a birthday cake for keeping but they could only keep it behind the counter and not in the fridge. When I asked for it to be served, they just handed the entire plastic bag to me instead of helping us to open it and light the candles. In the end, we decided to go somewhere else to have the cake instead. The meat was also not marinated thoroughly so you can't really taste the supposed flavours; all the light flavours just tasted like normal pork belly in the end. The heavier flavours were fine.

I visited the restaurant during off peak lunch, service was accepted, staff was attentive. Pork is fresh and portion is acceptable, free flow lettuce 👍👍BBQ cooked by staff, Overall BBQ is delicious. Army stew is tasty and not too salty 👍. Vegetarian pancake is 👍. The only improvement to recommend is to provide refillable hot green tea, serving of the drink is small, most restaurants provide free flow. Do note last order is at 2pm and the shop closes at 2:30pm.

The pork and the beef were awesome. One of the best and authentic Korean BBQ I’ve tried in SG. However… the squid had a texture of a cuttlefish than “squid”. Not sure if it’s the squid or was it the marinade. But yummy nevertheless. Will def come back for more. The service from the staff were also amazing.
