Jewel Coffee

After seeing positive reviews for this place I had high expectations. Pros: Bright and welcoming cafe. Friendly staff. Comfortable seating and nice decor. Cons: No music so you can fully enjoy the traffic noise from busy road outside, coffee was disappointing (could be kindly described as light and floral, but to me came across more as weak and tepid flavour), soya milk used was of the sickly sweet variety - I had to change soy latte for Americano. Overall pretty disappointed, and not sure why so many people gave 5 star reviews.

This was a rough afternoon as I struggled to shoot my Local Guide 1 minute clip for the upcoming Summit in the dull weather. Thankfully, the sun was out just moments ago and was now blazing hot. I finished the shoot and yearned a cup of specialty coffee. Knowing that The Armoury is newly open, I must come and give it a try. Boy, I was not disappointed! This is one of the best Flat White in town - creamy and chocolatety. I only wish that the barista could steam the milk a little longer and this cup would be perfect!

The Place: This coffee shop serves to all my moods. I've conducted meetings and interviews here or laze around reading a book. I've brought my friends here too. I've also gone to this page when I needed a quiet corner. The Coffee: talented Barista, choice good quality single origin coffees at competitive prices. They are proud of their creations at the same time accommodating and specific requests based on your taste buds. I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in good coffee and and good time in general with your friends or alone.
