Peperoni Pizzeria

I have mixed feelings about our visit here. Let me start by saying the service was excellent, really helpful and friendly. The food itself was reasonably tasty but nothing outstanding, and their pizzas are a little pricey for what they are. The dough is a middle-of-the-road thin crust with little in the way of structure or flavor. The toppings, however, were okay. The calamari was all right but they’re battered with something more befitting chicken than squid, so it was a little heavier and crunchier than we’d have preferred. On the other hand, it didn’t go soggy or flake off. It also came with both marinara sauce and mayo, which was nice. They actually have a fairly large menu for what you might think is just a pizza place. I saw their carbonara lists cream as an ingredient, which is of course a no-no. Overall, I would think of this more as Italian-inspired food rather than Italian food. For a local, fuss-free meal when you don’t feel like cooking or traveling too far, it’s not a bad option. Again, the service was really top notch. I’d go back and try other dishes.

Casual Italian kitchen located next to famous hawker Center at river side of Zion road. I didn’t know there are some restaurants like Japanese, Indian, and something. My friends house is near here, then visit first time. Good ambiance of interior for friends or family gathering. Pizza is recommended from shop and it is nice. But please note this pizza type is thin one. If you like fluffy texture, it is not the one. Pasta is also nice. We chose spaghetti, it’s difficult to find hard texture spaghetti noodle in Singapore casual Italian. The boiling is perfect. I can recommend pasta too. And service is quite good. Everyone friendly and polite. But they didn’t share their table info, so after we order drinks or additional food, still the other staff came to ask. It was many times… It was little sad point but enough to enjoy. We will come back !

The atmosphere of this place is great, and very family friendly. The XXL pizza looks amazing, and is huge! Is a great meal for a group of friends or a family. The food itself is good, but not outstanding. The truffle fries didn’t seem to be a high quality, and the lasagne looked like it was microwaved before coming out instead of oven heated. The highlight was the pizza which was flavourful. The prices were reasonable for the larger portions, and all in all a pleasant lunch experience at what I think is a nice family restaurant.
