Excellent place in this neighbourhood for an affordable Omakase experience They change the menu monthly so there will always be new items to share regular guests. Service was excellent as usual and the Suzukagawa sake recommendation was spot on with just a hint of sweetness and mildly fragrant. Foodwise we have never been disappointed so far, being pleasing to the eye and tasting just as lovely.

They no longer has the $48/$88 omakase, the current omakase start from abt $118, so do take note. The staffs are friendly and their services is good. All diners are well attended. Nice ambience, i like the owner taste of decoration. Sashimi quality is ok and indeed very nice presentation. But to my disappointment the other dishes is just average in turn of flavour. Basic like chawanmushi and miso is not even up to standard. The acclaimed waygyu is dry and bland. Even for the cheapest waygyu, i dont remember having a texture or taste like this. if it hasnt for the good service i could have given a 2 to 3 stars.

My first time at this place and the staff introduced this set of Omakase serving more sashimi for the price $138++. A star each for the staff friendly service and food presentation. Because it is Omakase, I am however very disappointed with the food quality, way below expectation. This price is reasonable if the quality of the food is fresh. Sashimi lacks freshness and not well processed which is critical in Japanese food, especially Omakase. Poached fish is way overcooked and it tells you they could not cope with the quality they are supposed to dish out. An evening dinner with much disappointment.

Decided to give it a try since it’s 4.4* on google reviews. For Omakase experience, I feel that it falls short. You don’t get to see the chef working its magic since the counter is blocking it. None of the dish were mind blowing either. I guess for $118 (tsuki), can’t really comment much. Will definitely not visit again.

The omasake menu is definitely a 5 star - fresh and nice sashimi and sushi. Very impressed! However the staff seems to be a bit rushing, and the uni rice were premade and keep under the counter, when we got to have it, tasted a bit disappointing. Hope the serving process can slow down a bit for the customer to slowly enjoy the nice food.
