First time here. Wide varieties of authentic Korean food served! Price can be on the high side, however portions are so generous. A great place to hang out with family and friends. If it’s a big group, you may request for a private room too.

This is a Korean restaurant that I keep visiting. The serving size is perfect for sharing among a group and the restaurant is also generous with the side dishes. As it can get busy on Friday nights/weekends, recommended to make a reservation before heading down.

Four of us and we ordered 3 servings of beef and pork, their delicious pork knuckles, pancake set that is very different from many of the other korean restaurants served in singapore.. service from some staffs are not as prompt and not very friendly, but it was made up by the korean boss who served us mainly, throughout our meal.. very helpful and funny conversation, great customer service from him. The food was definitely wonderful except for some reason, they didn’t use the regular bbq grill to prepare our meats but served in hot plates instead. Which was okay, except that we had to choose a done-ness among all our preferences.. hahaha which we had a good time understanding each other’s preference and why.. Overall, we had a good time at Tadamgol in a rather “quiet” Tuesday night. Will definitely go back there again to try other traditional korean dishes that they offer.

We were in the mood for Korean food but not BBQ. Hence, it was the perfect time to check out @todamgol_korean - a place I’d been wanting to visit since @janet1ee (she’s American-Korean) told me she enjoys the soups and stews there. Located at 31 Tanjong Pagar Road, this Korean eatery has a quaint decor and was quite full when we lunched there today. Ordered from the a la carte section of the menu for our group of three (they do Set Meals as well if that’s what you prefer) and ended up with leftovers to take home as portions are generous. The Cheese Dak Gal Bi ($38++) had a mildly spicy sauce, so @huatkaliao and my god-daughter @yujunn_ could relish it without breaking a sweat. I like that large chunks of tender thigh meat were used, and there was some tteokbokki (soft, chewy rice cakes) under the thick blanket of ooey-gooey melted mozzarella cheese. The Mo Deum Jun ($38++) allowed us to try a variety of Korean-style pancakes all at once. The thin layer of battered coating wasn’t the very crispy sort but we could really taste the ingredients. My faves would be the Pollack, the Kimchi and the Eggplant. Dwae Ji Sul Guk ($40++) also known as the Pork Hangover Soup was the third dish I selected. Besides soft-cooked pork, it had slices of assorted pig’s organs such as heart, stomach, liver etc. A handful of fresh perilla leaves, leeks, different kinds of cut chillies were tossed on prior to it being served. These infused the pork broth with a lovely aroma and a subtle heat which led us to finish every drop. Since we skipped the Mak Geol Ri (Rice Wine) in favour of simple hot tea, our bill came to about $140.

Authentic korean dishes and all staff working there are all Koreans! Kimbap was my favourite and so flavourful. Army stew and seafood pancake was yummy too. Steamed egg was not fluffy and was too dry. The chicken with cheese dish was nice but got tooooo sweet as i ate more. Overall still a nice dining experience.

If you have read reviews about this place serving authentic Korean food and you’re planning to eat here, here’s one word for you: DON’T. Pic 1: Clumpy glass noodles side dish - quite gross Pic 2: beef short rib soup has 2 pieces of beef ribs LOL Pic 3: seafood bean paste stew came with a grand total of ONE PRAWN. The menu showed some clams. I was given clams only when I questioned the staff. Other comments: - one-person soup dishes do not come with rice - service staff don’t understand English and constantly pull down their face masks to talk and laugh. They also walk around with their face masks at their chin.
