Ya Kun Kaya Toast

Service and food were both equally appallingly! Without looking to see if there was actually a space to sit, the counter staff curtly said that there wasn’t any space to dine-in when there was. Placed the order and had eggs, coffee, toast. Eggs - undercooked, cold. Soy sauce was bland and not thick - tasteless runny egg combo. Not appetising. Coffee (Kopi) was quite tasteless. Bland and lacking in punch for a Kopi. Tasted like a diluted long black made of coffee beans that were already strained once. Toast (peanut butter) - taste was decent but it arrived cold. Shocking considering it was made on the spot and there isn’t any winter season here! Toast (kaya cheese) - ok taste and arrived warm. Probably the best of the lot ordered today. Don’t recommend if you’re looking for service with a smile and good coffee. I’d spend my dollars elsewhere.

Terrible customer service ever! Rude staffs. Especially the long hair lady at the cashier and the old auntie preparing breads. Waited my order for quite some time and I politely asked the auntie about my order, she didn’t even feel apologetic. Furthermore, the long hair lady who took my order knew I was waiting for quite long but didn’t even check on my order for me. Our eyes met but she just ignored! Anyway, there’s wasn’t any queue at the time. Don’t expect good customer service from this outlet. Super bad experience 👎🏻

horrible service. was waiting for my kaya toast for quite a while and I explained my distress but the auntie just brushed it off in a condescending manner and didn't attempt to make the situation any better. when my kaya toast was done, she and another female colleague just put my kaya toast on the counter and didn't even call for me when I was right in front of them. so very rude and i had to experience this in the morning which totally ruined my mood for the rest of the day. food and drink was good and consistent but because of the terrible service, i would never go there again.

Should have read the reviews before I ordered. I got the A set with ice coffee (paid extra for ice) and the Kaya toast took a while to make but when I got it it wasn’t warm so the butter wasn’t melted. Toast was thin and crispy. My second time trying Kaya toast in Singapore. First one I had was at Toast Box. That was 100% better.

this is very sad , one very old auntie working for ya kun said she work for ya kun at this shop for 7 yrs and salary is still the same and she speak with a loud voice. i said thanks u to her and told her business at this ya kun business is good and she said she very sad as her salary is the same and little. the lady preparing the cups will slam the preparation. u can hear the cracking of the cup sound. very beh Kan yan 不甘愿。today post 25.4.21 . can see who working.

I ask the lady who is making coffee politely in Mandarin , "which one is my coffee" as there is a few on the counter. She just stare at me with a unfriendly manner. Lucky the approachable & cheerful cashier came forward and reply me. As a service staff, please treat customer the way you want to be treated.
