Once Upon A Thyme

Ate here on a thurs lunch hour and there was a steady stream of people queueing. Order is called out by numbers and waited about 10 minutes with 5 orders ahead of us :) Bar sitting area at the back for fast dining. Mainly is takeaway concept! Portion and flavour is really value for money at their price point! Bockwurst Rossa: The tomato cream sauce is tangy and creamy at the same time, it really didn't feel very gelak after eating. I ate everything including every drop of the sauce. There is a generous portion of mushrooms and sausages which was really pleasant. I rate 5/5 🌟 Soup of the day: Topped up +$3 for a small bowl of mushroom soup. And it was so good!! Not your typical Cambelle soup artifical style. Pureed mushroom soup is really robust. Would like it if there is some texture and creaminess. I rate: 4/5 🌟 Battered Fish Olio is very generous with linguine portion too, and 3 big fried chunks of fish. The suave that comes with it has cilantro and it really brings our the flavour. Not too greasy too! I rate:4/5 🌟

Surprisingly good place for take-out orders of pasta and other dishes. While the place is not very big, the quality of its pasta is comparable to those of other bigger establishments. The carbonara is really good with bacon and mushrooms in a cream sauce base. Meatball in tomato base is really nice as well. Prices are decent considering the good portion sizes.

I ordered the Chunky Salmon Creamy Pesto Linguine Drink Set that comes with the Iced tea ($10.90). The pasta was decent in terms of portion size and taste. I felt that the creaminess was lacking as the pasta felt more on the soupy side. The taste of pesto did not really come through for me but the chunks salmon was well flavored. The Iced Tea (I think it was Lemon Mint Tea?) closely resembles the taste of toothpaste and the mint taste was rather strong and overpowering.

Came here for lunch with my friends, good quality pasta but limited seating space (only a bar at the back). I had the Sausage and Mushroom Aglio Olio ($8) which was tasty and spicy, while my friends had the Turkey Bacon and Mushroom Carbonara ($8.80) and the Vegetarian Tomato Spaghetti ($7.50). The carbonara cream was flavorful and not too thick.
