My friend and myself were in VivoCity, we were looking for something to eat and Thai Express looked promising. We entered, took a seat, and menus were brought to the table. There were many items that looked good but I settled on the Khao Gai Ob Nam Pheung (Rice with Honey Chicken). My friend chose Khao Gai Phat Krapow which is rice with Stir-friedSpick Minced Chicken with Thai Basil. The restaurant looked clean and will seat approximately 60 patrons. It was a bit slow when we were there and I noticed that the staff used this time to tidy thing up. Our orders quickly arrived, my dish had several large pieces of plump juicy chicken, it looked good and it tasted good too. My friend was happy with her choice, although she would have liked it a little more spicy. She rated her meal a 4 and I felt the same way about my meal. Service was quick and efficient.

Had the lunch set. Taste is average but still not truly authentic. A simple basil leave chicken main dish did not make it. The spiciness is there but it was a bit too soggy and lack of the fragrance from the holy basil. The side dish marinated vegetable doesn’t go along with this pairing. The soup and fried tofu was good.

VERY DISAPPOINTED Today I have bad experience for my lunch in thai express at vivocity, I had waited about 45min to get the food and food is very salty , but i had more than enough time to wait to get the food , so I didn't ask staff to redo something about salty taste. While i was waiting time, i was thinking many times to cancel the order and leave from there. But i tried to be patient to get the food because may be heavy hour due to lunch time of every body. Unfortunately the food is also very salty and bill is too expensive compare with the taste. After ate this, i felt dizzy and headache due to salty food. I assumed that my waited time is wasted such kind of salty food. I had regretted to go this kind of services. I will never go to try any food to there in future.

First time dining at Thai Express in over a year and found out that the portion of food decreased significantly and still overpriced. The waitress that served us, or rather RUSHED us to order, was very rude and spoke to us in an angry tone for taking our time. We had to order on an iPad, so she could’ve taken the physical menus if she needed them.. so what’s the rush? Food was still good. Ordered green curry and duck curry rice. Portion is as good as a small soup bowl, not worth 11.90$. Would visit a different outlet next time.
