It's a place recommended by a friend. The place is spacious and big but I think you need to go early or else you'll need to queue. A great place to hangout for supper. I like their zhi char and it's generally one of the nice one I've tried in Singapore.

My all time favorite comfort food. Their kidneys are so nice, tasty, clean and doesn't have odd smells. The clams sizes are consistent and well flavored that we had to order 2 different types! The black chicken soup is also a must order, lots of good stuffs inside for vitality and health sake!

Fortunately it was less crowded today. I ordered a fried rice and pepper beef. Both the dishes were awesome. The service was really quick. Best to go as a bunch of people to try multiple dishes. Almost every dish on the menu sounds good and I am sure it would taste great as well.

Revisited the stall to try the seafood dishes. The salted egg cray fish was a stand out! It’s deep fried before stir frying so there was a added level of crunchy goodness. Steamed fish & lala were delicious. But the herbal black chicken soup was so-so, also the clear ginseng broth is not my type. Regardless, it was not a good chicken broth. I also had the 猪杂面线 again and am tempted to lower my ratings. Way too much pork slices at the expense of kidneys (only 2pc) & liver. I will definitely order without pork slices next time to prevent this mishap! >>> Simple delectable bowl of 猪杂面线 for $7.80 - I can eat this several times a week! The herbal broth had a deepness; it wasn’t too sweet nor too savoury. The livers & kidneys were well prepared and I thought the servings were generous. Service was excellent too! They got my order mixed up and swap it out without any commotion.

Was my first time there since I don't live around that area but boy were their crab fresh and juicy. I would recommend the crab noodle to try as the noodle absolutely absorb the taste of the crab sweetest and stayed moist. Their black pepper crab was also nice as the pepper that stuck to the crab were fragrant instead of being strong pepper taste. Would drop by again to try some of their other dish.

Been here a few times for lunch, always ordered the black chicken mee sua. This time round was a CNY gathering with a few friends and decided to come here for tze char. Waited a while in the queue but it was less than 5 minutes we got a table. Ordering and payment was hassle free they started using contactless. We ordered a few dishes and didn't know what size to order so they staff actually recommended small for all. The bill was actually more reasonable than what I had expected, and the speed where the food was served was even faster than the arrival of the last guest. We all were surprised the size of the dish was actually bigger than expected even though they were all small, and food was good and it was enjoyable. Would recommend coming back again.

Affordable zi char dishes with several variations. We ordered similar dishes with different cooking condiments/meat choice. Lala: we all agree the white wine version taste better while the chill sauce is on the little sweet side. Salted Egg Yolk: sotong version has more SEY taste while chicken is a little too dry. Chicken is no go. Fried Beancurd: extremely soft & the minced meat gravy goes so well with it Sesame Oil Chicken: uses mid wing joint, would taste better if they replaces with other parts. Coffee Pork Ribs: must order, the ribs has a good ratio of meat & fats. Overall damage: about $210 Only cash & PayLah/Now payment mode is accepted.

The brand name is a bit of a misnomer since they sell tons of other zi char which are tasty and popular too such as their assortment of other herbal soups, mee sua, sour pork and more... the service is prompt as you simply queue up, order from a huge billboard food menu, make payment and be on your way to coffeeshop-style seats and table. This is a very orderly UX which I hope they'll stick to it. There is also no air con so one will always be at the mercy of the weather. The dishes came fast enough and honestly the food is flavored in just the right amounts that it really reminded me of home-cooked dishes. If you are overly reliant on MSG for flavoring you might not appreciate the authenticity of the food here. E.g. their salted egg fish skin is very crispy, no fishy smell, not overly oily and it is accompanied by crumbs of salted egg which it not even too sweet or salty! Very naturale :) their ginseng chicken is cooked till the meat is soft and tender and infused with strong ginseng flavors. Their sweet and sour pork is so good u can eat them on their own. Their mee sua is choked full of meat that doesn't reek of strong smells. If you know what food to get you can be sure that you will get your money worth. Will I come back to try other dishes? Sure.. they have interesting dishes like crispy noodles, etc so I'm sure to be back.
