One of the old school Chinese restaurants that still bother to change your plate in between courses. 🥹 Growing up, such good service was the norm but most places have just stopped doing that? It’s a tiny gesture but I appreciate it so much. ☺️ Food was all amazing. 🤤 Chilli crab dumplings were super well done and I enjoyed having the leftover sauce with rice. 🥰 The roast meat and char siew platter was a highlight as well! Meat was really succulent and juicy, and generously portioned. And do you see that beautiful decor?! They just don’t have places like these around anymore. 🥺 Sad that this place is gonna close down with the rest of Keppel Club in a month’s time, but it’ll live on forever in my memory. 🥲

We have ordered the foods for our new year dinner, cost us about $920. Order number: 002451. Self correction somemore, due to delivery time slot full? We are very very dissapointed on all the foods, taste not good expecially the roast goose no taste at all and the lotus leaf rice too moisture. Furthermore, the Pen Chai prawn is not fresh and smelly (photo attached). Just curious how can this restaurant was awarded by the Michelin!!! However, this is our first time ordered from this restaurant and will not have 2nd order anymore. It is very bad experience for the first time.

Disclaimer: I orderd this via Grabfood. Find it unbelievable this is a Michelin star restaurant. I was looking for a restaurant to order on Grabfood for a special occasion and decided on Peony Jade. Upon delivery of the food, I was appalled at the portion relative to its price. Mind you, each dish costs an average of $30, and it even states "serves up to 2-3 persons". Of course, this number varies from person to person, but it was definitely way off the mark when four people managed to finish five dishes. Let's say we were to take the minimal suggested serving size of 2 per dish, 2x5=10. How did a serving size meant for ten people manage to be finished by 4? Now portion aside, on to taste. Of the five dishes, two were salty, and one was extremely salty. The dishes in question are the "stewed eggplant with fresh crabmeat", "sauteed beef cubes with scallions and premium sauce", and "home-style stir-fried french beans with crispy shrimp" respectively. The french beans were so salty to the point where your lips and tongue would burn; how is this even fit for human consumption? It's rather disappointing to order from a "Michelin starred" restaurant with high expectations only to be met with such subpar standard of portion and taste. Definitely, the first and last time ordering from this restaurant.
