Nice salt baked chicken sausage rice! Tried on fresh prawn & oyster kuey teow soup 🍲 , everything so fresh! Must try the bean sprout too! Super fresh and crunchy! 😻

Abalone soup is rich. However, I find that it had too much chicken bits in it. The fried Spanish mackerel was especially delicious and sufficiently salted. So was the pig lard white rice ♥️

Went to the Causeway Point outlet to eat their Ah Lam Abalone noodle, this is my 1st time try out their noodle. The soup was tasteless, the noodle super salty and the chilli not spicy at all.Especially the abalone is so hard like rubber.I will never eat again.

Not worth the price. Tried the salted baked chicken but it’s not like how NOC described it. The chicken is no doubt tender and soft however the taste is pretty normal overall. As for the chicken noodle it is nothing special too except that it comes with onsen egg instead of hard boiled egg. Will not revisit.

Noodles were tasty, a bit reminiscent of bak chor mee from olden times although I wouldn’t make a detour for them. The salt baked chicken was a total disappoint; not well-seasoned and definitely did not have the traditional taste; also way overpriced ($14 for half chicken).

Hmm...where do I start. It's one of those BCM fanatics who will all agree that this is one of the best...if not, the top 3 best bah chor mee in Singapore. Dare to recommend because the taste is soo well balanced like no other stalls! It deserves a 5 star from me.

I don't understand what happened. I have eaten ah lam's food over the years, both dine in and takeout, so I can manage my expectations when I takeaway. It's always been amazing nonetheless, but now... where do I even begin? 1) we can start with how I took away a full salt baked chicken only to realise it is sour. Yes. It was spoiled. The chicken smelt bad, it tasted sour, and after eating a few pieces, I had to throw it out. Mind you, they charge a VERY hefty premium compared to other stalls. 2) their ba chor mee used to taste like abalone essence. Now it tastes spicy and flat. Texture was bad but benefit of the doubt, that could be because I took away. Takeaway, however, does not change the taste of the noodles, and it tasted bland. Mind you, they VERY charge a hefty premium compared to other stalls. 3) their premium soups. They removed the $12 option, replacing the cheapest bowl with a $16 option. There was significantly less ingredients and soup was watery and bland, unlike how it is usually thick and flavour-packed. Mind you, they charge a VERY hefty premium compared to other stalls. I'm all for shops that wasn't to sell premium goods and hence charge premium prices. That's only fair, but what's unfair is when I waste $20+ on SPOILED chicken, $24 on BLAND noodles, and $32 on some chicken bones dipped in yellow water (what they call soup) I'm really disappointed in Ah Lam's standards. What an utter disregard for their customers.
