Very wide selection of local food fare. Quality is generally good, especially the steamed cold prawns and crabs, which are very fresh and sweet tasting. There are a good selection of Chinese, Malay and Indian cuisines. Also included the sweet desserts, ice creams and the teh tarik is pretty good. The price point is a little steep though for the types of food on offer, though made up for it for quality.

My family was on holiday in Fairtmont Hotel. Stopped in for our complimentary breakfast and had a decent great meal. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The buffet style here offers local dishes from different races. I wouldn't gives a top notch rating for the fact that the normal coffee was simply diluted or perhaps one is drinking hot water. Immediately I get the waiter to clear off and asked for an Expresso specially brewed from the coffee machine. Everything about this restaurant was never really fantastic. The place though was clean and smelled good. The only setback was the restaurant needs to be more selective when comes to hiring good waiter. I have a waiter that was so desperate to clear off the leftover sugar packets, INCLUDING MY EXPRESSO COFFEE which I had bearly even taken a sip :-( Next, my wife caught the same waiter standing quietly staring at my son playing with his mobile phone for quite some time before she asked her to move away when I was away from the table. Overall, the atmosphere, food and most of the drinks were just slightly above average. The management may need to buck up on their service and food quality. To my family, it was not really a pleasant experience. Hopefully, the restaurant management after reading my review will re-look and improve on them.

My aunt and i decided to have buffet and Asian Cafe was just around the corner. We called to make a reservation but was told the restaurant is full, advised us to walk in instead and we did! We were seated almost immediately. Took a walk to look at rhe selection and boy! So much to try! The cold dishes were awesome! Crab and prawn is fresh and sweet, scallop was also tasty. Local delights like satay was really yummy and we went for a second round! There might be a little wait though. DIY laksa also receiced good review but we were too lazy to try.😆 then there's indian and chinese cooking too. The dessert spread was so wide! From ice cream to cake to fruits to durian puree. There's even a teh tarik station!

Went to Asian Market Cafe for lunch buffet to celebrate birthday on 6/5/2022. Glad to have buffet lines back with the latest relaxation on COVID-19 measures. Decent price with 50% off from credit card promotion. Unfortunately, slightly disappointed that crab was somehow missing from the spread today. Mudcrab was missing from seafood on ice, and chilli crab was replaced with chilli prawn.

For the food variety and quality, I find that this halal buffet restaurant is quite pricey even after 50% bank discounts. While there are many types of cuisines, the overall quality wasn't top notch and expected of a hotel buffet. Also the overall restaurant ambience feels under-furnished and certainly needs a refurbishment.

I know it’s covid and things are opening up. That means a huge labour crunch and people are overworked. If you want to charge $88++ for a weekend dinner though you would and should serve quality dinner of that price 1) seafood is not fresh. My party of 10 all liked the salmon but oysters were really really low quality. 2) chicken and fish were rock hard and bland 3) satay is not tasty and most cooked food tasted like packet frozen food from NTUC 4) Sweet and sour soup was disgusting 5) Desert was the only thing that was ok but it’s quite hard to mess that up. There is great variety and there are many options so if you are very hungry and are looking to fill up with Low quality food this is the perfect place for you Just also understand everyone almost everyone dines with a 50 percent off discount with various promos so at $44 ++ it’s a hit and miss. Oh $88 and I would feel bad for you if you dined here This is surely not Fairmont standards
