Ju Shin Jung

We spent $50 each for a 90 mins buffet lunch & a drink 2 weeks ago. We ordered each type of meals to try. Each person comes with a small portion of main course. We found out that the sliced beef belly and marinated beef is our favorite and we ordered them again. The staff non stopped grilling the food for us, that why I deducted one star. We finished our lunch in 60 mins. It was no a peak hour in the restaurant anyway. We preferred to enjoy the lunch slowly. Another star deduction is because all of free side dishes are spicy and not tasty compared to other local Korean restaurants.

Havent eaten this for some time. Got a craving for Korean BBQ and decided to come back here again. Was wondering whether to order ala carte or buffet but seems like the latter is a better deal. Was served by Hyun Jung who was the one cooking for us throughout the entire meal. Very professional and focused on the cooking. Food wise was okay, nothing much to complain about except for the beef rib soup which tasted quite bland. The clothes stink as the ventilation was not good. I think this happens to all their branches as well previously. Finished the dinner before 7pm and the $48+ dinner became $42+. Reasonable meal and pretty worth it for the price.

We ordered D set for 2 pax. The dinner set came with wagyu short-rib and ribeye. The meat is tender and juicy, delicious. The set also includes soup, seafood pancake and either rice wine or soju. Be ready to smell like BBQ after meal as the ventilation is not up to standard, but again it is BBQ after all.

Food portions were generous and price quite reasonable, but drawback was the kimchi was not fresh and a little mushy. The lotus root was also a little "old". But the remainder of the banchan was ok and the steamed egg and galbitang were good. My main peeve was the extremely poor ventilation in the restaurant, it was so smoky that we couldn't see the other end of the restaurant, our eyes hurt and the floor was oily and slippery. The staff also only selectively cooked for a few tables and not once did they ever come to help us, we cooked the entire meal on our own. Overall a mixed experience.

Great Korean BBQ meats. We tried the black pork collar and belly. The meats are huge pieces, luckily the staff help us grilled to perfection! Then side dishes were OK and vegetables very fresh. Kimchi soup is not bad but abit light for me. If you are craving some Korean BBQ u can't go wrong with this place.

Ordered the set meal for 3-4 pax. Had the beef short ribs and pork collar. The beef short ribs was heavenly and has to be included into must order item list. Tender and juicy and literally melted in our mouths. Ju Shin Jung also serves generous amount of side dishes which will fulfil your craving for Korean food. A bit of a letdown was the ginseng chicken soup. The chicken was a bit on the hard side and the soup lacked the ginseng flavour. All in all, it’s a good experience and will most definitely come back again!
