Being located at the HomeTeamNS Sembawang, this restaurant offers food at a rather expensive pricetag. Of course, if the food makes up for it, that wouldn't matter, but here's the catch - the food served isn't good. Having tried the "Shell Out" bucket they offer, consisting of various shellfishes, I can safely comment that the 2 crabs given are miniscale, along with only 1 crayfish split in half, 4 prawns, and various other ingredients aren't that freshly served. They also offered a sauce of your choosing to be mixed in the bucket as well, in which we had the salted egg sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce and the seafood does not mix well and gives off a very bland taste. In the first picture is considered 2 sets of the "Shell Out" item, at the cost of $58+ excluding gst. Their carbonara and sirloin steak aren't good either, it lacks a certain salty flavour, and the lack of cheese didn't help it in any way either. The pasta was served rather dry and the steak lacks flavour and sauce. While waiting for our food, I did a little tour around the restaurant and looked at the food they offered for their buffet menu too. It lacked variety, and the food being displayed isn't worth the buffet price at $28, seeing that the food served in the buffet matches the food served ala carte. All in all, the only food I can compliment about is the satay, freshly on the grill, outside the restaurant, staying at a more reasonable price at $4 per 5 sticks. The mutton satay is recommended.

2nd time(jan'20) went with bigger group. Be sure to do reservation,even on weekdays esp evenings. First time at DuitSg, I wanted to try the buffet but was told that it's only available on weekends. From the menu the shellout variety looks yummy but since my friend dsnt like seafood so we skipped it. Ended up ordering spring chicken (love the salad but the chicken is a bit small), ikan penyet(this I like; very crispy and the sambal was yummy many), garlic bread (which was missing in action) and 2 floats (I think it's a tad diluted cos the drink has that pale caramel colour).... Overall, the food and prices balanced each other. Service, I'm not in favor. The staffs dnt seem friendly or approachable. We asked the staffs twice about our garlic bread and eventually we had to cancel it (maybe it dsnt exist?)

The weekend buffet is value for money. Great variety of main dishes to desserts. Fresh seafood, especially the prawn & oysters. But customer service can be further much improved. Seating arrangements are also a little cramped. & if you're looking for a quiet & peaceful environment, this isnt the place.

First time here on a weekday, place looks empty but very lively with a birthday party already going on when we came. Place looks very 'industrial' with cement screed floors and black pipes lining the wall. Wonderfully lit place and cozy feel to the place. We ordered their shell out. We were not disappointed as the seafood tastes fresh and full of savoury flavor. Also ordered an iced milo tower. Then we ordered a mocha cake for our dad celebrating his birthday. They played a happy birthday song and came out with the cake, a cool spinning candle, a neon happy birthday sign and a crown for the birthday boy! Haha.. Thank you to the DUIT team and staffs. Highly recommended to bring the whole family out to eat.

I would patronise this place more often if only it was not so far away from my home. DUIT is situated within the grounds of Home Team NS at Sembawang. We spent the night there with family celebrating one of my nephews b'day, and decided to try DUIT for lunch. I ordered an Ayam Penyet ($5.50) ..... . When the food arrived, I suspected that it was gonna be a treat firstly because of its presentation and secondly, you can tell from the way its cooked. It was obviously prepared a la minute ... the chicken was crispy outside and the flesh moist and tender, served with a dollop of slightly sweet hot chilli and a little fresh greens. The rice was of a good quality, chunky, not clumped together and salty like your regular cheap rice at coffee shops. Discovered later that it was prepared by Chef Muhammad Firdaus from Sarawak . Next time youre in sembawang, do drop by for this must try item and tell them you heard about it through Word of Mouth.
